Monday Motivation and Mindfullness

The thoughts, the energy and the messages that the mind puts out and takes in is literally everything to do with our happiness, our results and our interactivity with others.

So mind your thoughts and energy well.

To be filled with joy, with peace and with love

feel the love from the bottom up
feel the unconditional acceptance

In life it is not to control it s to accept and to adjust how we utilize the way it is
to the way we can make those things work best for us

You are lovely
You are special
You are as you are

So with that a smile, this smile is sent to you : )

Sunday Restoration and Change

Change always wanted in dream state, never embraced in practice and always fought over when truly in the process.  Change is never easy nor should it be, but with changes comes new opportunity and new growth.

With out change there would be no butterflies.
With out change there would be growth in the families.
With out change we would die from sheer boredom.

Time may change me but I can't change time....
David Bowie

Change is not probable
it is
inevitable

Be your change agent for good

Complaining does not change anything

never has and never will

action changes things with a positive attitude

From within ourselves

You are in charge of your change and how you perceive change

Change will happen with or without your permission

but it will happen

make the most of it
make the best of it
learn from it
grow from it

the "it" is change
you are in charge of you

Smiles as always sent this way today and everyday  : )

What do you truly know? ~ Quote of the Day ~ Video of the Day ~ Scripture of the Day : ) 02/13/12

Knowledge is knowing that we cannot know.

: o )  Ralph Waldo Emerson

Truth be known we know very little.  I love the message that Steve Jobs gave to the graduation class in 2007 at Stanford University.
The message, at least part of the message was that you can not connect the dots looking forward. Try as you must you can only connect the dots looking backward in retrospect.
We all seem to want to see our future, know what we are about to do is the right thing, if not the right thing at least the right thing for us.  But we really don't know do we.  We have to look at the dots and how they connected in our life by looking in deep reflection.
Thats just the way it is.
He explains so truthfully that you have to follow your instinct, your gut, your faith in your being, in your creator and trust that what your about to do is for you own good and the good of others.
We don't know anything in life.  Sure we have our values, and our experience to help us through our life.  But we really don't understand the true acceptance and tolerance and love that we all should freely give and live with.
If we all knew that fact.  We would have little or no conflict and sadly we know this world, even our world has conflict and troubles that sadly flow our way.
But as I have said before, life is a series of waves, and you either learn how to ride the wave, or become part of the crash of the waves. It is always our choice and our preparation that makes this true.
So today, enjoy your life, be grateful for what you have been given.  Love like you never loved before the pure grace that flows your way.  Accept that things will not always go your way, and thats ok but truly what is important is how we handle the path that we walk upon.
Connect your dots, looking back you will and may the grace of God and love and tenderness guide you to a happy and joyous path.
Smiles to you this day : )

Living for others with cause for effects ~ Quote of the Day ~ Video of the Day ~ Scripture of the Day : ) 02/10/2012

We cannot live only for ourselves.

A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men;
and among those fibers, as sympathetic threads, our actions
run as causes, and they come back to us as effects.
: o ) Herman Melville

Everything we do has an effect on our life.  The decisions we put off, or act upon make us who we are now and whom we may and will become.  I say the word may before the word will due to the fact that we need to continue our chosen path. Act upon our decisions or we may become something else that was not intended.
When we have a clear focus on the world outside of our immediate self.  We will then possibly be able to add some sympathy and tolerance into our fiber.
We are made up of thousands of strands of DNA, that make us who we are in a very individualistic way.  No two of us are exactly the same.  Another miracle from our creator.
But within that individualism is a common thread, that if we focus on weaving in love, hope, compassion, sympathy, acceptance, tolerance we will indeed blend a different fabric for generations to come.  Can we do that?  More importantly will we do that?
One person at a time we can.
One person at a time we should.
One person at a time, will you be that one?
Smiles to you today and everyday : )

Quote of the Day ~ Video of the Day ~ Scripture of the Day ~ Take time to think before you speak : ) 02/02/2012

“He gossips habitually; he lacks the common wisdom to
keep still that deadly enemy of man, his own tongue”
: o ) Mark Twain

Think before you speak; how often have you heard this gem growing up? Plenty of times I am sure.
Yet time and time again we insert a word or conversation that we regret or at the very least causes more harm than good.
Everything we do and say should have powers to help or heal or at the very least do no harm.
When we reach out with our words we don't know how much hurt they can cause, until its to late.
Words of course can also heal, help and uplift.  The power of the spoken word has positive and not so positive aspects.
So the next time you want to speak and perhaps blurt something out ask your self these questions:
What harm could these words cause another?
Does this statement share gossip or does it share good news?
Will I in any way regret the words I am about to say?
If you can take the time to practice these 3 questions then maybe you can make the time to not cause harm or discomfort.
Just saying and as always sharing and caring and sending you a smile for today : )

New days arisen ~ Making a Difference with what we have

A wise woman who was traveling in the

mountains found a precious stone in a stream.

The next day she met another traveler who was hungry,

and the wise woman opened her bag to share her food.

The hungry traveler saw the precious stone and

asked the woman to give it to him.

She did so without hesitation.

The traveler left, rejoicing in his good fortune.

He knew the stone was worth enough to give him

security for a lifetime. But a few days later he came back

to return the stone to the wise woman.

"I've been thinking," he said, "I know how valuable the

stone is, but I give it back in the hope that

you can give me something even more precious.

Give me what you have within you that

enabled you to give me the stone."

'The Wise Woman's Stone'

Author Unknown

How often do we think that our possessions of external nature are above the value of our internal possessions.

No its not what you have on the outside that matters most to others sometimes, no most of the time its the inside stuff that matters most.

The kindness we can give.  The love we can show.  The laughter we can share. These are the things that can give true value to another persons life.

So give that smile to another they will indeed appreciate it.

Give that kind word or compliment to that mother handling her obstacles that arise and still makes time to love her children and keep a roof with just her efforts.

Give that encouragement to the hurting soul that maybe lost a loved, as they passed on, or struggles to provide for his family in a world of uncertainty.

Give whats on the inside and share with those on the outside.

It costs little.  It is just your time, your effort that your spending, but like the 'Woman with the Stone' it can be life changing.

A month is coming to a close.  A new day is coming to light, a new set of hours, of minutes, of  seconds to make a difference.

Its yours.....this new day....of what will you do with it?

I close with this quote:

Every morning is a fresh beginning.

Every day is the world made new.

Today is a new day. Today is my world made new.

I have lived all my life up to this moment, to come to this day.

This moment--this day--is as good as any moment in all eternity.

I shall make of this day--each moment of this day--a heaven on earth.

This is my day of opportunity.

~Dan Custer

This new day - its all yours.  What will you choose to share?

What do you have on the inside that costs little or nothing but can empower a spirit far beyond your dreams.

Your up, its your turn now.   : )

You are a legend.  Just one like you.  Your dreams, goals and aspirations await the future.  The history of your life will be written.

Dream Big ~ Laugh Often ~ Smile and Love Always.

Smiles from me sent your way.... today and always : )

Acceptance is good

Acceptance of what has happened is the

first step to overcoming the consequences of any misfortune.

~William James

Life happens.  Heard that one before?  Ok, maybe the first word began with an 'S' - - ended with a 'T'... LOL But we have heard it ... probably said it an hundred times as well.

That is a form of acceptance and it helps to let it go.  That event or misfortune that happens to us.  Sure it is easier to say to the person that this happened to but how many times have you said it to the reflection in your mirror?

Life happens.  Think about it, we say it to others so easily but when its us we tend to dwell on the negative event.

A misfortune that has consequences is never easy to get over.  It annoys us at best and it overwhelms us at worst.  Plain and simple it tries to derail us for an extended period of time.

But wait who defines how much time is enough?

Is there a rule book any where?

So we lose our favorite (fill in the blank)....  who defines how much we grieve?

Plain and simple answer here... we do.  We choose how long.  We say we want closure but we choose.

The classic is the damage we feel early in life from our family.  You know the dysfunctional family.  Those that feel the pain long after they leave home.

They instead of accepting the consequences and move on they blame everything on the past.  Those people you know.

It reminds me of the quote in the movie 'The Breakfast Club' (1985) when Andrew tells Allison played by Ally Sheedy:

Everyone's home life is unsatisfying.

If it wasn't, people would live with their parents forever.

Ok, some can say life was the Brady bunch I am sure but if it truly was it was still necessary to move on and get a life of their own.  True?

Yes we need to move on from things that hurt us, try to derail us and even stop us.  We need to move on....

But first we must accept.. acceptance is key.  For if we don't accept we will blame others and others will never give us final closure.  Only we can do that.

We must do that.  Acceptance that life happens and we can't change the past on the present and we are in control of that.

The art of acceptance is the art of making

someone who has just done you a

small favor wish that he

might have done you a greater one.

~Martin Luther King, Jr.

That is the focus on something good, sure bad things will befall us.

But even then we need to accept it and move on.

Accept it and move on and understand bad does not always happen and we truly do decide how quickly we look for that next gem that makes us smile, makes us laugh, makes us understand that good does triumph over evil.

We decide how to perceive the world.

Always have had that power, always will.

Move on to that simple act of prayer.  Giving thanks to the one who created it all.

Move on to that simple act of love.  That look in the mirror with the affirmation that you do love that reflection and that reflection is going places.

Move on to that simple act of sharing a sincere smile. Be random, look for that person who just seems like they need it the most. They may have ran out of their smiles temporarily and they so need one of yours.  Share it!  Watch the magic of that share happen.

Acceptance is very good.  We need to practice it more often with more speed.

Smiles sent your way and everyday..... Oh yeah this smiles is for you  : o )

Take nothing for granted ~ seek its value and you shall find it

To educate yourself for the feeling of gratitude

means to take nothing for granted,

but to always seek out and value

the kind that will stand behind the action.

Nothing that is done for you is a matter of course.

Everything originates in a will for the good,

which is directed at you.

Train yourself never to put off

the word or action for the expression of gratitude.

~Albert Schweitzer

Life has many lessons does it not?  You are learning with every step you take, every action made.  You have much success and sometimes so it seems, more failure, but failure is only a learning point if you think of it in that manner.

Take nothing for granted, not the family pet, not the morning coffee, not the love of your family.  Nothing should be taken for granted.  Everything has meaning for good, it is only how we allow are perception to take hold that makes it bad, and only in our mind.

Always seek value in everything that passes through your life and guess what you will always find value, you will always find good, even in the mundane things that seem to come to us.

Nothing is truly mundan, our thoughts make it so.

Train yourself, teach yourself that an attitude of gratitude is your new small still voice inside.  That life, is great, that love is not just a noun but a verb that demands action by you and for others.

Love everything that has been presented.  Not the kind of love that is taken for granted but a love that appreciates the simple and acknowledges its purpose.

None of those material possessions do anything

to make your life any better....

I know a lot of people who have

a lot of everything, and they're absolutely

the most miserable people in the world.

So it won't do anything for you

unless you're a happy person

and can have peace with yourself.

~Lenny Kravitz

Things are just that... things.  They attach themselves to no one, they just exist  as tools to aid and help make our life easier.  But when we start to look at our things, our possessions as extensions to our self or worth we now let them define or effect our happiness.

Never allow anything to define your worth, not anything, never let even a mate define your standard of worth.  But to allow your money, or your possessions is sure destruction to the esteem we carry each day.

Be at peace with yourself, be happy with yourself and the value you come across everyday in some of the smallest of places.

Enjoy life.

Live life.

Dream.

Pray

Love

Not just today.... but everyday......start today, and then continue on your journey of gratitude and acceptance.

Thoughtful Thursday *New* August 11, 2011

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today is a great day to be alive.  My little mantra for you to take with you:
Today is a great day to be alive, alive to thrive, not just to survive.
Live, Love and Laugh today
and watch how much
things will go your way : )
Share that with yourself today a few times maybe a little happy jingle and your mind ( the most powerful tool you have) will have a great perspective that goes with you.
Better than a mind that looks at the world with doubt and contempt. Wouldn't you say?  Hmmmmm?  Smiles sent your way : )
The theme of this post of course is to share and explain and stir your soul regarding thoughtfulness.
So my question to you is are you thoughtful?
Defining thoughtful found in google.com:
thought·ful/ˈTHôtfəl/Adjective
1. Absorbed in or involving thought: "brows drawn together in thoughtful consideration".
2. Showing consideration for the needs of other people: "how thoughtful of you!".
Are you thoughtful?  Just a question for you to ponder.
Two quotes on being thoughtful:

Stop the habit of wishful thinking and start the habit of thoughtful wishes.
~ Mary Martin
****

Who looks outside, dreams;
who looks inside, awakes.
~Carl Jung
It is always great to dream and wonder what life could be like only if?  But it is better to be awoken by thoughtful actions.
Action and belief that what life is now and how much better it could be with a positive thoughtful attitude and a deeper sense of gratitude.
Again I ask are you thoughtful?  By now you probably know I have been asking all this time are you being thoughtful to yourself?
The hardest person to be thoughtful for is often ourselves.
No I am not talking about filling a compulsive action of shopping or eating or treating yourself to a large bowl of ice cream.
These things can all be great in the right portions of course.
No I am talking about being thoughtful as in kind, gentle, expressive towards your own being and spirit.
Something to think upon today.  Something to pray about along your way this day.

Love and gratitude is so much a part of being thoughtful.
But first it starts with us.

Smile on and share one along your journey today : )
