Everything we do has an effect on our life.  The decisions we put off, or act upon make us who we are now and whom we may and will become.  I say the word may before the word will due to the fact that we need to continue our chosen path. Act upon our decisions or we may become something else that was not intended.

When we have a clear focus on the world outside of our immediate self.  We will then possibly be able to add some sympathy and tolerance into our fiber.

We are made up of thousands of strands of DNA, that make us who we are in a very individualistic way.  No two of us are exactly the same.  Another miracle from our creator.

But within that individualism is a common thread, that if we focus on weaving in love, hope, compassion, sympathy, acceptance, tolerance we will indeed blend a different fabric for generations to come.  Can we do that?  More importantly will we do that?

One person at a time we can.

One person at a time we should.

One person at a time, will you be that one?

Looking through the glass

Day one ~ a new month, a new day, a new set of downs, just like football.   I wanted to sleep in today but I awoke with this post in my heart and instead of going back to sleep and catching some zzzzz's here I am typing it out for you to read now or many days later. (Its fun to type these out and know that anyone could read these, days, weeks, generations later.)

I like that, who needs sleep...lol.

Oh if we could see the future, if we could look down the road and see anything that would lead us, I guess that is why we have God and why we pray the Lord's Prayer....

That will have to do....we have our heart, our feelings and our little voice inside that says 'wait, stop, think first'...sometimes we just don't listen or pray first.

Stop...Listen....Pray...Give thanks...Ask for wisdom.

Who does not love to go to the zoo or pet store.  All the cute, cuddly and you just want to love animals.  They put this glass many times in between us.  They even ask us not to tap on the glass...and what to almost all of us do...tap..tap, tap... What the animals on the other side must think.

My thought today is what if you had the chance to tap, tap, tap on our glass that surrounds your world.  What would you think about you? What would you say about now?

We all think in that world of me, our ego drives us to the next destination that it sees fit for us.  We go along, playing our song and sometimes on auto pilot we just do with out much thought. We just do....

Here is a thought, what if we slowed down just a bit, and took a small leap, for some a giant leap, outside our ego and tapped on our glass.  What if we asked these four little questions.

What are you doing?

What do you really want?

Are you on the road to getting there?

What would you do if you were free?

Think about it, during your next major event in your life, take sometime and tap, tap, tap....and look from the outside looking in at your event.

What are you doing?

Is it really in line with your goals, do you have goals written down? Do you think your on the right path and direction?

What do you really want?

A quick review of your actions, thoughts and feelings right now. What if anything is in conflict with what your really want for you.

Are you on the road to getting there?

A change of direction if needed?  A prayer to ask for wisdom?  A stop and lets slow it down a bit maybe sort of action.  If you listen and truly listen to that still soft voice from within you will make the right choice.  Oh it may not be popular with your ego self but it will be right.

Is it not what you truly want, to be right, to do right for you?

Last question as you tap, tap, tap on your looking glass.

What would you do if you where free?

Stop, your saying, what do you mean by that...I am free...right?

We all have things that bind us, slow us down, prevent us from unstoppable bliss.  Maybe its fear, the unknown, our health, our feeling of wanting more....  These things can bind us, slow us down, cause us to feel caged.

So what of it?  What if you where free of these things, what if you just woke up one day, one moment, one minute and said ....

I am free!

Free from fear.

Free from worry.

Free from taking care of stuff that I know pass over to God.

Lord give me wisdom, give me that wisdom in my interaction with others today.  Help me Lord, to leave any worries, any fears, any illness with your loving touch.

Help me Lord to make a difference, to shine my light, to inspire another to smile, to be whole again.

A simple prayer, but a prayer that in the end says I am now free.

Tap, tap, tap.....everyone should look through there own glass once in awhile.  You might just see what Alice in the quote from the start didn't see......seeing something is always better than not looking at all.

Sizzling Saturday *New* August 27, 2011

Happy Saturday everyone and the last in the series on the word 'sizzle'.  

Starting with the new month I unwrap a new format for each day.  I hope to share it with you next Thursday but each day will have a purpose for your spirit but no longer will I label them by the day of the week.  You could read them any day and get what you need from them. So I hope you look forward to that.

My last question for you on this topic of sizzling is this.  When you enter the room, or get with a friend do you bring a sizzle with you?

Do you sizzle? or Do you fizzle?

Heck no one wants to fizzle, no one wants to be a drag, a downer.

But some are, sad to say some are.

So how would one sizzle as they enter a conversation, a room?

Three Steps

A smile of the heart and spirit

Eyes wide open with energy and direct eye contact to whom ever you speak with.

Head up, shoulders back and a walk with purpose.

Thats it!

A smile that brings life to a conversation.  People ache to be around good news, they so sadly come upon bad news way to often.  The average person does not need any more drama in their life.  So bring a smile instead.

Eyes, the windows to the soul, they speak even before words are spoken.

That walk, that says I have arrived, not the strut of a peacock or rooster but the confident walk that says I belong here, I can and will add value and not take away value.

Always add Value to another person.

Fun Filled Friday *New* August 26, 2011

Now for the joke about the cat who went to heaven:


Once upon a time, there was a cat who died. When she got to heaven, God asked her how she liked being on earth. She told the Lord that it was awful, she had to sleep in cold back alleys where there was no food and life was hard. God told her that he was sorry it had had turned out that way but here, in heaven, she would be happy and He would give her the most comfortable, warm pillow to sleep on. The cat laid down upon the pillow and was happy.


A few days later, about a dozen mice that came to heaven together and God asked them how they had liked earth. Earth was no better for them than it was the cat.


They explained to God that it was tough and exhausting and their feet were worn out from always running from cats and dogs and people. God felt bad for the mice and decided to give them rollerskates.


One day God sees the cat again and asked her how she was liking heaven. She explained that it was absolutely wonderful. The pillow he gave her was the most comfortable place that she had ever slept on, but even better than the pillow were the meals on wheels.


LOL...Meals on wheels indeed.....

Thats what pure and unconditional love does it gives. It makes things better. Never taking away just giving.  The feeling and sense of being is so great you just want to give back, share forward and so you do.

Take Charge Tuesday *New* ~ August 09, 2011

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to a new day, a day to be a little better than the last day.  A day to say I am taking charge of my reactions and I have a cause that will have a profound effect on my life and the life of those around me.

Today! Right now I am in charge of my destiny.

Today I am a mother who is a difference maker with her children.

Today I am a co worker who instead of being someone who tears down another persons spirit I will be a builder of that spirit and give that coworker encouragement instead of something less.

Today I will be an agent of positive change and remove any nay sayer thoughts and words.

Today! Right now I am in charge of something bigger than even me!

Do you feel those thoughts begin to stir in your spirit.  No?  Look in that mirror and say them, look into your eyes and believe them.

Today start to take charge for the good of others not just yourself.

Everyday is yours of course, free will to do with it what you please. You can live with high expectations for yourself or you can stay in bed all day.  The choices are yours and really they are yours alone.

Don't let anyone take charge of your life with out your permission.  Oh, some will try but we need ever let them.

Don't have a big enough cause?  Look around and see the world with curious eyes.  See the world with the thought I am in charge and I want to have a bigger cause.

I choose to be a smile advocate, to teach, to entertain, to enlighten, to inspire others about these things:

The power of a deep sense of gratitude in ones life!

The power of thought and having the motivation to change for the better.

The power of prayer that can enrich every second of your incoming day.

The power of making a difference by sharing it forward!

If you choose come on aboard and share it forward.

Become a smile ambassador for change!

Become a source of love, of kindness and share in the magic of being different that the status quo.

To smile with sincerity is not the status quo, not in these times.

To teach and live with gratitude in ones heart is not status quo in these times, it is to play at the feet of things and wants more than another persons need.

To choose to make a difference is not the status quo, look around you in every life the status quo seems to say whats in it for me.

Live your life outside the status quo!

Live your life with love and the power, the simple and sincere power that you have the ability to be something great!

Stay hungry and Stay foolish and stay smiling today !

Depends not just on the action taken but the attitude it is taken with that matters even more.

Attitude and especially your attitude as your feet hit the floor in the morning is everything.  It is how you feel, how you breathe and how your body moves that impresses your spirit and soul or depresses your spirit and soul.

Action taken is a reaction that is soon about to take place.

The cause will have and effect.

The cause often is your attitude.

Attitude, your attitude will dictate the outcome of a task even before you start it.

When we breathe deep and think with positive outcomes in our mind this will likely lead to a better outcome than if we are stressed and have less positive thoughts.

Actions come from thought

Thoughts come through your attitudes.

Take time to take charge of your reactions that your given.

They indeed do come from the actions you started the day with.

My day starts with prayer and it often ends with prayer.

Not prayer with requests and wishes but prayer with a thankful heart and spirit.

My wish for you is that you give your morning that quiet moment in prayer not to ask for a better life or day but to give thanks for what you have.
