Risk vs Reward

To risk, to rise above doubt and set your imagination free from everything except the possibility of success.  Imagine that... I know it sounds easier said than done. But in life effort is required and everything in life comes with risk.

No guarantees and not even a promise of tomorrow each moment we walk or we stand still but risk exists no matter.

To define risk:

Risk is potential of losing something of value. Values can be gained or lost when taking risk resulting from a given action, activity and/or inaction, foreseen or unforeseen. Risk can also be defined as the intentional interaction with uncertainty. Uncertainty is a potential, unpredictable, unmeasurable and uncontrollable outcome, risk is a consequence of action taken in spite of uncertainty

Each day we rise and we enter into a fresh moment in our lives.

How do you rise?

With fear?
With impatience?
With a plan?

Do you enter the day status quo and just let it happen?

Have you ever risen out of bed and before your feet hit the floor just say " Thank You "?
Have you ever thought about stretching and for the moment meditating about what your grateful for?
Have you ever walked into the day looking for someone just to share a smile and some encouraging words for that someone?

What if we did ?  What if we did these simple things and caused a ripple of kindness?

What if indeed....

The rewards are far greater than any risk.  The only risk is allowing the world to happen to you instead of the world rippling from your cause and effect statements.

Cause #1  A grateful heart
Effect #1  Peace and appreciation

Cause #2  A shared smile to anyone
Effect #2  A moment of appreciation and perhaps a smile back

Cause #3  Holding open a door out of respect and kindness
Effect #3  A moment of ease and a moment of less effort to another who just may appreciate it more than you know.

Now what are the risks?

The only risk I see is the risk of saying you didn't risk it at all......

May your day be blessed
May your smiles be many
May gratitude fill your heart each moment and may the moments be plenty

Smiles shared as always : )
