Thursday Tune UP of Tolerance

If we are going to try to weed out hate in our lives then the talk should also be to tune up the ability to tolerate and to accept others.  When some here the word acceptance they take offense in other words they believe that if they accept another persons view point it somehow makes there less important.  But in my thinking its just allowing, permitting another to share the resources that we all have on this planet and show them that they matter as well.

Sounds simple to me, it truly does.

But yet kids to adults are lashing out because they don't feel apart of society, or they feel bullied by one thing or another and then it ends up on the news.  Something must change.  One person at a time, one day at a time, something must change for this hate and anger and frustration to subside.

May one person light the candle of change.

Learn to understand...

Just keep it simple...

Imagine the energy spent over the intolerance spent on another

Calm your mind

Trust in tolerance

Send a smile a kind word and just learn to live together

We have all heard the opposite have we not.  The saying, 'love makes the world go round', well according to another thought it really doesn't.  Ms. Browning may have a strong point here to be made.

Lets think about this for a second.

We make the world more interesting when we love.  But with often too much regularity hate can dominate in the world, anger too.

Why, if love is indeed such a wonderful and awesome emotion and in many ways a noun and a verb, why do we with hold it?

Ego?  Intolerance? Lack of gratitude?  Maybe all three and probably another handful of reasons.

So how do we fix this?

How do we make the ride more interesting and more care free?

ONE ACTION OF LOVE AT A TIME!

ONE PERSON AT A TIME!

Its in your court, mine too.  We love with action and we love with purpose.

We can love nature for no reason, right?

We love a bright sunny day, don't we?

Some like a fresh snow that covers the landscape.

Some like a rushing river to fish trout out of.

But they love in some manner and in some way they love nature.

We love pets, at least most of us do.

A dog or cat loves its owner with out any question or qualm, they just do!

So why can't we?  Just love!

Nike had a saying Just DO IT!

Maybe we should just have the words - - Just Love !

Truth be known we know very little.  I love the message that Steve Jobs gave to the graduation class in 2007 at Stanford University.

The message, at least part of the message was that you can not connect the dots looking forward. Try as you must you can only connect the dots looking backward in retrospect.

We all seem to want to see our future, know what we are about to do is the right thing, if not the right thing at least the right thing for us.  But we really don't know do we.  We have to look at the dots and how they connected in our life by looking in deep reflection.

Thats just the way it is.

He explains so truthfully that you have to follow your instinct, your gut, your faith in your being, in your creator and trust that what your about to do is for you own good and the good of others.

We don't know anything in life.  Sure we have our values, and our experience to help us through our life.  But we really don't understand the true acceptance and tolerance and love that we all should freely give and live with.

If we all knew that fact.  We would have little or no conflict and sadly we know this world, even our world has conflict and troubles that sadly flow our way.

But as I have said before, life is a series of waves, and you either learn how to ride the wave, or become part of the crash of the waves. It is always our choice and our preparation that makes this true.

So today, enjoy your life, be grateful for what you have been given.  Love like you never loved before the pure grace that flows your way.  Accept that things will not always go your way, and thats ok but truly what is important is how we handle the path that we walk upon.

Connect your dots, looking back you will and may the grace of God and love and tenderness guide you to a happy and joyous path.
