Saturday in Your Park of Hope

So what is hope?  Have you had hope? Has your hope been dashed? How do you look for hope?

My favorite quote I start with here:

Hope what would a life be with out hope?

This world needs hope
We all need that ocean of possibility
we all have been created for victory

Be strong
laugh out loud
live and play hard
dream big
and be happy
All by having hope

When the world, your world shouts no
listen
be still and listen
be quiet, be still and listen
shhhhhhh
right now, just listen to that still quiet voice that says

MAYBE
Just maybe

This smile and all of them every day are sent your way : )

Greatest Love of all ~ Quote of the Day ~ Video of the Day ~ Scripture of the Day : ) 02/12/12

I believe that children are our future.
Teach them well and let them lead the way.
Show them all the beauty they possess inside.
: o ) Whitney Houston

She is gone, a legend and I write this now so I can enjoy the Grammy's tonight as they plan a tribute that I am sure will be emotional.
I grew up with her voice, the movies, the personality.  The love she shared so willing and freely.  She was so above average but made common mistakes as well.
Mistakes we can all relate to our own lives.  Bad choices for the sake of love and to be loved.  Have you ever made and created any of those bad decisions?  My hand raises in the air, yep count me in.
She made me feel normal when she did it. She made a lot of us feel normal.
So we shall miss her. With out a doubt.
But the quote I use above is for all of us who stand behind our children, or nephews and nieces, our grandchildren, our neighbors children.
Teach them well and let them lead the way.
Teach them and show them all the beauty the possess.
Teach them spoken gratitude.
Explain the power of affirmations and self talk that goes on even in their young minds.
Love, share, care and let them lead our next generation. Guide them while their young but as they grow older let them fly a little. Let them be free to believe in dreams, in goals come true.
Let them learn the power of laughter and the simple power of a sincere smile.
We all believe that our children are our future.  So lets start our beliefs take over and let them lead, and trust in what we have shared.  Love and smiles to you all!

Living for others with cause for effects ~ Quote of the Day ~ Video of the Day ~ Scripture of the Day : ) 02/10/2012

We cannot live only for ourselves.

A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men;
and among those fibers, as sympathetic threads, our actions
run as causes, and they come back to us as effects.
: o ) Herman Melville

Everything we do has an effect on our life.  The decisions we put off, or act upon make us who we are now and whom we may and will become.  I say the word may before the word will due to the fact that we need to continue our chosen path. Act upon our decisions or we may become something else that was not intended.
When we have a clear focus on the world outside of our immediate self.  We will then possibly be able to add some sympathy and tolerance into our fiber.
We are made up of thousands of strands of DNA, that make us who we are in a very individualistic way.  No two of us are exactly the same.  Another miracle from our creator.
But within that individualism is a common thread, that if we focus on weaving in love, hope, compassion, sympathy, acceptance, tolerance we will indeed blend a different fabric for generations to come.  Can we do that?  More importantly will we do that?
One person at a time we can.
One person at a time we should.
One person at a time, will you be that one?
Smiles to you today and everyday : )

Twenty Thousand Little Ways

“The world is not a dream, but a reality, of

which we are the chief part, and in which we

must be up and doing something...Come out into

the world about you, be it either wide or

limited. Sympathize, not in thought only, but in action, with

all about you. Make yourself known and felt for

something that would be loved and missed, in

twenty thousand little ways, if

you were to die; then your life will be

a happy one, believe me.”

~ Charles Dickens

There are probably more than 20,000 little ways that you can make a difference in this world.  I like to stay on top of a few that I will repeat here.  These are little things and they take little time but will make all the difference not only in your life but in the life of others.

What are they? The word share is in front of all of these, but it must start with you.

A kind word - a sincere smile - laughter that is contagious

Joy -gratitude that is spoken - your acceptance - your love

Your imagination - your dreams -  your values

That is ten I think but they to me are so very important to share.

Yesterday I led with a quote that Steve Jobs shared with the world.

He wanted to put a ding on the universe with his products and his life. He did....

He shared a kind word and kept his family life private and personal.

He would share his love for his family thats clear but he protected them.  He made them feel safe and secure.

You can't say he did not share a smile or laughter.  His speeches and public appearances where full of laughter and smiles and in fact plenty of joy and love.

He had passion for life.

He accepted people, oh sure he wanted people to perform for him and his vision, his dreams, his value for a successful life are all within his 2005 speech to Stanford University's graduating class.

He shared his gratitude for the customer, for the Apple family that purchased, shared, loved, accepted and enjoyed the products.

He was full of imagination.  He was a dreamer that thought different.  He did not care about the status quo and when someone said it won't work, or it won't be popular, he did not care.  He pushed forward anyway.

He lived with his own values and beliefs and he pushed on and inspired others.

You can do the same, maybe you are not the CEO or founder of the next Apple.  But you are the CEO of you, the founder of your family, a mother, a father, a friend, a lover, a partner you are creating something and why not dream and reach for the stars.

Why not share a sincere smile everyday.

Why not?

Make that difference in your world.

Dream Big!

Share Love, laughter, joy and hope.

Yeah that 11 right, sharing hope.  Giving someone a shoulder to lean on.  Giving them the knowledge and belief that they are worthy, the road is clear ahead, this is the road map, here is a smile for you, oh yeah some laughter as well.  Things will get better here is why.

Words of hope for a soul that seeks it and often finds little.

Oh sure, we are truly responsible or our results, our thoughts and actions.  We need to be that for ourselves and our family.

But what is so wrong with our world when we if we took the time to share some hope and those ten other things listed above.  What difference would it make.

Could it save a teen from killing them self?

Could it save a young woman from selling her self?

Could it help a homeless person stand a little taller and have hope?

Could it inspire the next Steve Jobs to work in his families garage?

What if it could?  What if it does?

Is the effort worth the result that comes from it?

Just some thoughts.....

I write to get to you thinking, to inspire, to lift, to bring hope.....

I share my love and smile through these words, for you.

I cry out and have my own fears, my own solitude, my own sorrow but when that smile is shared with me, I smile.  When I hear laughter I laugh.

Do I dream....you bet.  Do I share gratitude spoken aloud, for sure.  Do I want to make a small ding in the universe?  Sure....

So I will.......

Picking up that hammer and tapping away, one smile, one post, one kind word, one shared laugh, one day at a time.

So should you....make your ding in the world.  Share, care and love.  Enjoy your day!

As always smiles sent your way !  : )

Trust and Faith with plenty of belief

A story from Corrie Ten Boom:

Often I have heard people say, "How good God is!

We prayed that it would not rain for our church picnic,

and look at the lovely weather!"

Yes, God is good when He sends good weather.

But God was also good when He allowed my

sister, Betsie, to starve to death before my eyes in

a German concentration camp.

I remember one occasion when I was very discouraged there.

Everything around us was dark, and there was darkness in my heart.

I remember telling Betsie that I thought God had forgotten us. "No,

Corrie," said Betsie, "He has not forgotten us. Remember His Word:

"For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His steadfast love toward those who fear Him."

Corrie concludes, "There is an ocean of God's love available - there

is plenty for everyone. May God grant you never to doubt that

victorious love - whatever the circumstances."

No matter what the circumstances.

Never Doubt.

God has not forgotten.

God's love is available there is an ocean of his love and plenty for everyone and yes there is enough for you.

No matter your problem, God and his word and his promise is there for all!

Yes your problems may feel overwhelming, they often do feel that way.

My prayer and wish is that your problems and circumstances never get as dark as those that Betsie and Corrie Ten Boom had those days in the concentration camp.

My prayer and wish is that you always take time to pray, to give thanks to live a life of gratitude.

A quote from E. M. Bounds:

When trust is perfect and there is no doubt,

prayer is simply the outstretched hand ready to receive.

Trust perfected is prayer perfected.

Trust looks to receive the thing asked for and gets it.

Trust is not a belief that God can bless or

that He will bless, but that He does bless, here and now.

Trust always operates in the present tense.

Hope looks toward the future.

Trust looks to the present.

Hope expects. Trust possesses.

Trust receives what prayer acquires.

So, what prayer needs, at all times,

is abiding and abundant trust.

He will bless you, your prayer and your door is about to open.

Never quit just before the dawn of a new day.  Some people have the impatience to quit just before the new door was about to open.  Don't let that happen to your answered prayer, or to your efforts to a better way.

It takes effort, answered prayer often comes with our free will to work towards a better way.  But God has the ability to place people in our path that makes those ways easier and he blesses us with all the tools needed.

Tools like Faith, His word, His promise, His love.

Never give up

Never give in

Never ever lose the gift of love and forgiveness.

Dream Big, Pray often, Love Forever, Laugh for no reason and always, always take time to smile!

As always smiles sent your way !  : )

Being Spiritual, Having Faith, Sharing your Love

If there were no God, there would be no Atheists.

*****

Let your religion be less of a theory

and more of a love affair.

*****

“One sees great things from the valley,

only small things from the peak.”

~G.K. Chesterton

All three quotes by the same man.  All three.  To me they all tie together.

To me, faith is not to be pushed onto another, or even tried to pull from another.

Faith is not magic, it is belief, it is trust, it is love.

I have seen much more from any valley, learned more from the valley and have the ability to set my standards and goals better from that same valley.

If your on top of the mountain sure you see farther but the details are not as crisp nor do you get a true sense that you understand what is happening down there.

In the valley you know whats happening.  You feel it, touch it, sense it and your part of it.

I will take the valley everyday but sure, I want to climb that mountain and get to its top.  But don't ever wonder if I don't want to help and hang out with those in the valley.

That been there done that feeling never gets lost when your trying to inspire, lift, love and motivate others to learn how to live and leave that valley.

Pain and suffering exists.  I know that, you know that.  So understand this so does the ability to make a difference, to smile, to laugh, to love, to dream.

Even if your in the valley we as spiritual, loving Christians know that we shall fear no evil, because of our Love for the Lord and our faith in his word.

I don't believe in purple unicorns.  But I won't take away or belittle you or ask you to give up your belief.

Many of those who run or doubt or have not faith in these magical things as they call them.  Do however.

You have the right to your belief in purple unicorns, thats fine but try not to have such a hard, dark sarcasm about the Christian faith.

For we understand Hebrew 11: 1

1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,

the evidence of things not seen.

I know I have used this much lately. But faith is what we all should have in abundance.

Its what we should be grateful for, what we love and cherish so.

Which takes me back to the second quote above.

Let your religion or spiritual belief and faith be less of a theory and discussion and more about sharing love, sharing that smile, shining your light.

You live like that, people will start to understand your love affair with faith, with God, with the story of Jesus.

They will seek out and find because of the light and love you have shined all around them.

Not because you pushed them.....pulled them and dragged them to the word.  No that has not effect.

But with love they will see.  Now will they see right away, will they want to run to the light always.  NO of course not, and thats ok, your still living the life of love, laughter, joy and faith.

Not a bad thing to want to share at all is it?

Not a bad thing at all.

I love to write and share and inspire and give to you that gift that flows through my fingers.  Do I make mistakes at the keyboard.

Sure I do, just as I do in life.  I need a editor, lol, I need that bad. However I do believe that my 961 posts that I have written and shared here and on Redgage, and on Triond, and on Blogger and MMSO (MakeMeSmileOnline) have an impact just the same.

Impact and love and inspiration shared with the reader.

Not a bad thing at all.

Share that smile of yours, first with yourself in that mirror each morning and then with others.

Share that laughter with yourself first of course others will find it flowing freely from you.  They will laugh as well its contagious.

Share that love, even if you feel unloved, or in that valley of despair love will find you.

God loves you every day and when you seek him, you can't help but see him, feel him, sense him, love him.

He is all around.

He is in all the good that this word still shares so freely.

God is indeed everywhere.

You just need to seek and have faith and love.

Dream ~ Smile ~ Laugh~ Love always

and as always smiles sent out to you!  : )
