Every Friday is TGIF for me and it means Taking Gratitude In Force... but today I am also writing about giving gratitude.  To those all around us, who daily make our lives better.

Giving Gratitude this Friday and sure we should do it more often.

It can not be bought gratitude

it can only be created, and worked into more

Ok you have to write about the power of luck and bad luck in ones life on Friday the 13th right.  So here goes.

First off ask yourself do you believe in cause and effect or do you believe in chance.

Luck from random actions or Luck from hard work and practice making things just turn out right.

So by now after all of my essays you must know my feeling right.

Two statements I believe in.

The high energy of laughter to improve a mood in a room and help others who may just need that laugh.  Action sharing some laughter reaction the whole state of emotion changes. Just like the power of a smile.  Just like it, you share a smile, the other sends one back just because they felt uplifted and inspired to share in the magic of the given smile.

Cause you wake up with a great nights sleep, full of energy, full of love for the live you have been given.  A blessing has been bestowed on you as you have just been given another moment of life.  A fresh 86,400 seconds await you and your the captain of the vessel that you guide along life's journey.  Pure magic awaits you.

The effect of the laughter, of the blessed day you just woke up to. Well its not luck, its the pure direction that you guide yourself with. The magic starts when you say, Thank You!

Spoke gratitude that says thank you for this day, this moment at this time I am grateful.  Pure magic awaits you. Today right now.

Not luck, not because you had a rabbits foot, no just because you prepared yourself for this moment.  This moment when you arose from a slumber, stepped out into this world and said thank you, how can I help, how can I make a difference.  Pure magic awaits you!

It is hard to find that quiet time to quiet the mind and listen for that soft still voice.

When you find that quiet still waters at a lake or softly flowing river you can understand how much peace is involved compared to the waters at a waterfall, raging river, mighty ocean wave.

It has not only reflective powers to an image but it has calming effects to our soul.

Find that quiet time in the morning and/or the evening and just listen, close your eyes, be still. Try it this morning.  Be still.

Ask no questions but you still may hear chatter, just shhhh.....

Just a few minutes to hear your inner spirit, to perhaps hear that soft still voice that says, yes it corrective instruction what ever that may be.

The stillness of a lake make your thoughts just for this moment that still as well.  Allow your inner self to just listen.....

A quick realization of the calendar shows only a few months till the holiday season of giving thanks and giving gifts.  A Christmas Countdown timer shows less than 99 days.

The heart of the season often gets lost.

Finding Gratitude even when grief hits your life

And this we should be grateful for?   The answer plain and simple, yes!

Perhaps Mr. Crisp left us with a very sarcastic view of our existence or perhaps he was a bit cynical.  Need to know more of when he used this and how it was meant.

But the quote does give much meaning to those who choose to crawl through life.  Those who crawl through life with little purpose, little meaning doing what they think life should be and not written goals.  Why would anyone choose to do that.  Ignorance?  Lack of focus on a much bigger picture?  Lack of faith?

No - life is meant to be lived with a passion in it.  We should never crawl or grovel over life.  We should be passionate and full of wonder of what will come out of the next step.

Life is meant for living, not just existence.

Hey I understand all to well that life does throw you a high fast ball and yes sometimes you will feel true grief maybe even frustration.

But the pain of life will leave lessons and you will at some point understand the message and lesson.  Life and its failures will leave clues that point to success.

We all can lift are head to the heavens and ask the question 'Why me Lord'

and we should but after we ask it, we should be quiet and still and listen for the answer.  It will come.....  We all have a purpose in life and even when life has given you that high fast ball, try to get out the way of it.

But......

If it does happen to hit and it may, understand that this too shall pass.

Turn to prayer for guidance.

Turn to gratitude for the many blessings that we all truly have.

Turn to laughter because you know understand that you 'should have ducked'

I truly try to be that spark for you.  To be that light in the morning, to inspire, to bring about a smile, a better understanding of the power of the smile, simple kindness.  

That is my intention and I am grateful to God above for you the reader to taking the time to take it in.

It is sort of a partnership of sorts.  All the light in the world will not work if we always want to stay in the darkness and isolate ourselves from others.

It can hurt being part of the human race, sometimes what we expect from those we are close to is not what we get.

The phrase 'it always seems those closest to us seem to hurt us the most' is often heard but in fact it need not be that way.

Establish your values, your values and stick to them.  Don't let another determine what is important to you and try to redefine you. That is not love, that is control.

Establish your esteem, what you think about yourself is critical to what your perception is about another.  You must never let another person try to define your worth or value. If they don't love you unconditionally then it was never really love at all.

Place upon your heart the desire to improve and reevaluate yourself.  Daily we should look at written goals that we have established for our life.  Goals are the road map for achievement.

We are either growing in life or dying with life.

Everyday we change, we must be grateful for that fact, for without change we would be already dead and starting to decay.

Live, laugh, love and learn a little bit more each day.

Smile each day, laugh each day and do something nice for another each day.  When we put out these emotions and actions, they will return.

Should we put out ingratitude, hate, anger, common sense says it will return, and time after time we can see it with another that it does return often effecting more than just that person. It effects the lives of those around them.

Be that light, that spark, that candle in the wind.

Be grateful for what has been given to you.  Even if you have a little understand that you really have more than enough.

Gratitude Tip for Today

Truly look for another person who walks into your life who just may be in need of a kind word, a word of encouragement, a smile.

When you find that person, share with that spark that will brighten and enlighten not only them but will strengthen you.

Maybe with a quote like that the author took it to heart and did not want to take any credit.  Maybe it was all about what she/he could give to all of us and not bask in any credit that she/he wanted to attain.  Maybe.

Giving thanks, such a simple thing but so much importance given to those two words.  The phrase 'Thank You' needs to be sent out much more.

Sent to God above for a fresh day restored.

Sent to the mirror when we gaze in our soul.

Sent to the day with all its majesty.

Sent to each other for friendship received.

Sent to our co-workers who brighten our day.

Sent to our customers who really do make us our pay.

Sent to our family who love us for who we are.

Sent to our love to let them know how grateful we really are.

Send out that 'Thank you' each chance you may get, because it will send out energy that will increase and flow on.  Your spirit will shine and your heart will grow.  Not grow in size in the physical sense but grow in maturity and grow in the gift that God meant for us to sow.
