Thoughtful Thursday *New* July 14, 2011

Happy Thursday to you all!

Smiles sent your way, this day and everyday.

I truly wish that:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
~ Old Irish Blessing

This day each week I want to share with you the importance of being thoughtful towards each other.

Taking the time to make a difference and share the fact that kind people do exist on this planet.

I love that old irish blessing, I really do.

May the road rise up to meet you -- What a kind thing huh, the road we travel, each and every step.  May the road rise up to meet your steps.  Notice it leaves little room for the bottom to drop out, or you to step off a short cliff but its there to support and help you. Rising up to meet you.

Sort of like what I do each morning, rising up from my sleep to share a few words, to inspire and to reach out and send a sincere smile.

May the wind always be at your back -- Gently or with force it really does not matter much.  Sometimes we need a strong wind at our back to sort of push us forward during tough times.  But the wind, pushing you forward not slowing you down with a head on gail force.  Taking you to a better place, a new place the wind providing the comfort.

My wind to me is my writing, I enjoy this probably more than you perhaps. Its a automatic writing that I thank the good Lord above for the inspiration and the thoughts that flow so effortlessly.  I am very grateful for the ability to just let it come out onto the screen of my computer.  Gratitude for my gentle and sometimes pushing wind at my back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face -- Nothing like the warm sun shining down.  Warmth almost like the hand of an angel saying today is going to be awesome, keep pushing, don't give up. Feel what God has created for all of us.  The warm touch of another is awesome, that love of a good friend or a partner how great it is to receive a hug, or a pat on the back.  So is the warmth of the sun above easily reaching down to touch our body and our spirit with warmth.

I believe it our not here tend to love the warmth of a hug, or a pat on the back. I believe that to share a hug with someone is perhaps one of the best things that another person can freely give and yet has so much value.

And rains fall soft upon your fields -- Perhaps a little reference to the fields of a farmer, bringing much needed water to his crop. A more inspirational way to look at a rain that falls softly on our fields of decision and harvest of our actions.  Rain is very important and by rain I mean it nourishes our world.  We love water and in fact much of our content as a human is water and our planet is filled with it, so my thoughts here that any soft rain in the literal sense is very important to our survival.  In the non literal manner rain can be the tears of life, some slight alter of course or something else that needs attention. But make no mistake may any of these fall softly in your life, or on your fields.

And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand -- A sincere wish that you allow God to hold you in the palm of his hand.  To comfort, to protect, to secure each step and action that you take.
God is very important in my life.  I do stumble at times, oh heck lets be honest I stumble everyday in some fashion. But I know that I have God to give me everything that I need to carry on, to share love, to be kind in a sometimes unkind world.  I pray daily, I listen in meditation and I hope that the road always rises to meet me.

Sure I watch for those pot holes of life, they happen more than I ever want but if your prepared and thoughtful to God and his creations.  Gentle and kind, to all that God created no matter what the race, sexual orientation, political affiliation, belief in a higher power or not, then you have much of what this Irish Blessing has.

We are one world, full of imperfections mainly because we allow the imperfections to multiply and create havoc.  But the imperfections of life should never impede our desire to make a difference.
And that is my wish and thoughtful words for you today.

Smile on and share one along your journey today : )

Monday Motivational Moment *New* 07/11/11

Happy Monday everyone and welcome to another awesome day.
I hope you enjoyed your weekend and that you made a difference whether for your family or a complete stranger.
We have that power to make a difference, in quiet ways with a simple sincere smile. In a larger way with a kind act or deed with or without someone knowing.  It is all up to you how you do it, but the question would be did you take the time to do it.
Oh I am sure we all smiled yesterday and sure a smile is a simple way to make another persons day a bit better.  Just make sure it was a sincere smile and the next time you give one maybe add a kind word or deed.  You just may make all the difference in the world to someone.
This week can be a start of something great for you so welcome to that opportunity.  May you make the most of it. First a quote :

It is impossible to persuade a man who does not disagree, but smiles.

                                        ~ Muriel Spark

How very true!  Should you find yourself ever trying to persuade another person and he just smiles, you will perhaps remember this quote.  A simple smile back is and has just as much punch as trying to row against the current.
It is easier and has much more effectiveness.  If that person really wants to be persuaded he will give you a reason to follow up and continue but if he just smiles, smile back, let it go and know that a smile is a universal language.

A quote by William Arthur Ward

A warm smile is the universal language of kindness
Your kindness has been sent with that smile.
So use that simple power of the smile.
Display and wear it proudly.
Even when your looking in the mirror, no strike that....
Especially when your looking in the mirror!
You deserve it and you will find that when you do share that sincere smile with that person in the mirror you moment will shine, should not all your moments shine?
Take the time to be that smile that sends out a message of hope to another.  Like a light in the dark your smile will send that message of joy and hope to someone in need.

Nobody needs a smile so much as
the one who has none to give.
: )
So get used to smiling heart-warming smiles,
and you will spread sunshine

in a sometimes dreary world.

~Lawrence G. Lovasik

So my goal in this post as always is to motivate, in hopes that maybe just maybe you will share the inspiration with another. A sort of pay it forward.
My goal is to type and give you a tool for the day, the week that will enable you to live a bit better from the inside out.
My goal is to know that one life may have breathed a bit easier because the met you.  Because they felt the kindness from your heart, your soul and that simple sincere smile I wrote about earlier truly made all the difference.
Help me achieve those goals.....won't you?
Share ~ Care ~ Smile ~ Bring Joy ~ Make a difference
: ) Today : )
Smiles are shared with you today and always!
Enjoy your day !

Thoughtful Thursday *New* July 07, 2011

Happy Thursday to you all!

Smiles sent your way, may happiness spring all around you, and should any strife or sadness spring up, my wish is that another spirit pass along a smile and a kind word to encourage you. : )

This day each week I want to share with you the importance of being thoughtful towards each other.

Taking the time to make a difference and share the fact that kind people do exist on this planet.

But first a quote to start us off and ponder today:

The fact that you are willing to say,
"I do not understand, and it is fine,"
 is the greatest understanding
you could exhibit.
~Wayne Dyer
We are not designed to be perfect, nor should we strive to be perfect in everything.  Such a lofty goal is often the reason we have frustration and stress.
To be human is to have error, we had our perfection in the Garden of Eden.  We made the mistake, we chose the apple and the rest as they say was the end of perfection in the human race.
There is however a very large distinction between error and outright wrongness.
When we wrong another spirit we close that openness that was first there.
Take time to life another spirit up, don't harm them.  Take the time to share a smile, a kind word.  What have they really done to deserve anything but.
If your wronged you have to ask yourself first was that the intention of the other.  Is this just your perception?  Talked yesterday about the value of the statement Perception is reality. The point being your perception in any given situation is not of significance in human relations.  It is better to seek to understand the other than force the issue of being understood.
So it is with many things that happen in this world.
The old story of the man who was tired of walking and his feet hurt felt differently after he saw a man with no feet.  His feeling changed about his own pain and discomfort.
We should always error on understanding another persons pain and error before we take it as a personal attack.
As you go forth today, try to seek to understand first and share that simple sincere smile with another.
Smiles to you and yours : )

Walking Through Wednesday *New* ~July 06, 2011

A very happy Wednesday to you and yes the middle of the week as arrived. A few days to the weekend and yes many of you just had a 3 day weekend a day ago, how good does this week get?

I know it is hard to believe but there are many who went to work on Tuesday and felt exhausted, and frustrated that Tuesday was really that Monday of a shortened work week.  They could not get over the idea that they had to work 4 days just to get to the weekend. I just hope that person was not you.

I mean come on, a four day work week. Lets be happy, cheerful and full of energy.  Lets have that gratitude attitude that says what a wonderful day, look at the awesome creations right outside the door and 'I' get to share in them.
It is the choices we make that makes us feel happiness or joy.

So what choices are you about to make today?  Choose wisely not just for yourself but for those around you : )

It is really all about the choices we make each morning and how we choose to walk through our day. One step at a time, one smile and kind word gently place before another.

Don't forget to start this process with you, the person in the mirror, the one who has the power to choose.

My thoughts for the new format for this post is around adversity that at times we all feel but many times we have created.  On Wednesday I set aside this day to inspire you to overcome and focus on a more positive outcome.

This quote will start us out on the subject of perception:

Reality is what we take to be true.
What we take to be true is what we believe.
What we believe is based upon our perceptions.
What we perceive depends upon what we look for.
What we look for depends upon what we think.
What we think depends upon what we perceive.
What we perceive determines what we believe.
What we believe determines determines what we take to be true.
What we take to be true is our reality.

~ Gary Zukav
So how do we truly view this word perception and reality.  I have heard this quote that says perception is everything and I submit and addition to that quote:
Perception is everything
But your own perception matters little
In life we interact with others, we don't hide out in a bubble.
We have our partners, spouses, children, co workers and friends.
We have so many interactions and everyone has their own beliefs and perceptions of their own reality.
But truly we have 2 ears and one mouth.
The quote seek first to understand before we can be understood fits in how we interact with another persons perception and reality.
Our own perception means little to another person unless they agree with it of course.  But in any conflict another persons view is often the start of any objection or negativity towards another.
Seek first to understand why the feel that way, or think that way. Listen with a sense that they have a right to that opinion.  But be aware that opinion's are like _______ (you know the rest).  Rated G post here...... LOL.
But if we want to have our opinion's understood or heard and have any input on the matter we have to seek to understand another persons view first.  I know it takes a little time, but is conflict a time waster?  Is hatred and energy drainer? Is love the mender of all?
Some things to think upon the next time you start to get in any conflict.
Listen....
Think....
Understand....
Share....
Smile....
Move on if you must....
Not a bad way to stay out of conflict, and in life would we not rather share in the good and not waste our energy on the less productive.
Enjoy your day and keep those smiles shared :)
