The purpose of our lives is to be happy.
~Dalai Lama
Interesting quote here, the opposite of happiness is discouraged, unhappy or even depressed. Indeed we are not created for these feelings or words.
In my heart and in my mind we are designed to do more than just be happy.
We are placed here to do, to make things better, improve our life and the lives of others.
We have a mouth to speak, not just hang there.
We have two ears to listen, they just don't hold up our hat.
We have a brain that is in constant motion even in our sleep.
We have two hands to that mean to grasp and pick up things.
You get the idea. Everything has a purpose and our purpose is to do not just be.
Life is what we make it,
always has been,
always will be.
~Grandma Moses
Life is what we make it, how we use our resources to make a difference.
Our resources are always present and waiting for us to use them.
The power of kindness to each other.
The power of a smile to be shared.
The power of concern to let another know we care.
The power of touch to show our love.
So much power in our resources, yet often we just let most if not all idle.
How sad, its like we have these tools to make a difference but we allow them to just remain in our tool box of life.
Become grateful for these tools but when you understand their true potential let them loose.
Share your love for life.
Shine your light with a smile.
Empower another with your encouragement.
Ignite the energy within you with laughter.
Reach out with your arms to hold and share a simple hug.
It just may be the most powerful gift they have received
A quick rhyme about the power of a simple hug:
There's something in a simple hug That always warms the heart, It welcomes us back home And makes it easier to part.... ~Johnny Ray Ryder, Jr., "A Simple Hug"
Love, a smile, encouragement, laughter, a hug. Four little things that just may be everything to someone, and yes that someone just may be you.
As always smiles sent your way ! : )
