“In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life:
it goes on.”
~ Robert Frost
Wow, pretty bold statement by Mr. Frost. But you know his simplistic way has much credence. 'It goes on' is a very true and timely statement for anyone, and everyone.
We pass through life and even after we die - it goes on, life goes on with out us.
In fact the one resource we have is time of course, the 86,400 seconds each day that we get, to live, to love, to share, to implement actions and to dream.
Do you love? Do you let the person you love so dearly know it and do you show it?
Do you share your feelings, your emotions or do you keep them inside for when you feel they are really needed, what if its to late to share?
Do you implement your goals? Written goals do you have them? Do you plan your life or does you life run on auto pilot?
The winds of change will blow of course and you don't need a sail on your vessel to have it effect you. Nope it will effect you none the less but you may wonder if your actions, your dreams your plans could have made a difference in the end.
How sad to wonder at the end, but the end draws near for all of us. Don't let it sneak up on you .... chase your dreams, share your love, care for another and speak your gratitude.
Life goes on
Yesterday I went to a lake near me, people fishing, running, walking, laughing and I saw a couple, saw several of course but one stood out.
She was frail, thin oh so very thin and seemed oh so very tired. Maybe in her late 40's or early 50's. She had her husband by her side and you could see the shared love. You could see the encouraging eyes of his lifting her spirit and allowing his love to flow to her. No doubt she knew his love was there. They did not stay long, the walked arm and arm up the hill back to the car to leave and you could see that she leaned on him, and was very weak, very frail.
I said a prayer for her, thanked God for the beautiful day and thanked him for my eyes to see the good in love, the concern that love can have. I prayed for them, don't know them, nothing about them but their actions showed so much.
I pray for them, for her, for peace for health, for strength during the coming storms that life brings us.
That same lake some 364 days ago I was married at. We said our vows, we placed our rings and signed the paper. Today would be and is one year from that sunny Sunday in October. The day I thought I married an 11 on 10/10/10
Two number ones that stood side by side, an 11.
But life goes on........life indeed goes on.
I prayed, I smiled, I laughed and I reflected on what could have been.
But truly I shared an experience, I loved, I cared, I spoke my truth.
Implemented a plan and wrote goals.
Objects in the rear view mirror indeed appear closer than they are. The road of course lies ahead, the mirror that is most important is the one we look in that shows our now. The present, the gift that God gives us when we awake is today.
Make no mistake about it we have free will. We can live our life with action or we can watch it float on by. But the end will come one day and as Mr Frost states so simply ..... 'it (life) goes on'.
Live your day, make each day count.
Share your smile, your love, your passion, your goals.
Communicate and more so than ever - listen.
Listen to the still voice that is inside that encourages, that pushes you that wants nothing more than you to be happy. It is so deep inside us.
Sometimes a louder voice tries to hold it back, but hindsight will always show the truth but by then it is in the rear view mirror.
Don't look back.
Don't wish what could have been.
Wish what could be if we take action now.
Look forward and smile. Because life goes on and for now......so will you.
As always smiles sent your way !
