Happy Sunday everyone and a very cold, I mean very cold day here in the Pittsburgh area.
Stay warm today as you enjoy the NFL Championship weekend. In Pittsburgh the town is over the top excited about the Steelers playing for their eighth super bowl appearance and a chance to win their seventh super bowl win.
The town is black and gold crazy today and the smiles will be broad and wide if they pull this off. My choice and pick is that the Steelers win today.
The other game is an old rivalry the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Bears. This historic game will match in the early game.
The rivalry has played out since 1921 and the Bears have won 92 of the 181 games and tied 6. The Bears are at home and have been labeled underdogs all season and are not favored again. My choice and pick is the the Bears win today.
So that would put the Bears and the Steelers in the Super Bowl in Arlington, Texas (Dallas).
Who are your favorites today? Did you team win? The latter question is for you if you read this post after the fact. Smiles to you all and i hope you enjoy the games.
So today is of course not just the NFL or sports, but it is a day to recharge, refocus, replenish the spirit, soul and mind.
I truly believe Sunday should be a day to spend with loved ones, the other side of our eye lids, meaning a nap and the word of God in the Bible or at church, or on TV.
Many people are home bound or maybe just prefer to listen to the message on radio or tv or the Internet. Many just do their daily devotions and pray on Sunday.
Whatever you do I pray that you take the time to recharge the soul and get into that word called faith. Faith of course is a choice and many people have lost faith or perhaps have given up on faith.
I am not here to place blame or what should or must work for you or anyone else in the faith arena. Let me repeat this in bold letters.

We are spiritual beings by design.

How the natural order of things are meant to be followed. It pains most to not have a rational knowledge of things to be able to understand life, death and beyond. Oh sure their are plenty of those who are quite happy with black and white with colors that they place upon the canvas of life.
It works for them and that I would never, ever want to dilute or wash away. Not by choice or consultation.
My choice is to allow the spirit of faith to flow among us whether we like it or not. It will touch the soul when it is needed, wanted and chosen. It is and always will be the natural flow.
My thought and prayer is that all of us would believe and trust and respect each other, first with the image in that mirror and then with those in our world.
That is my Sunday Thought and Sunday Prayer.
