Happy Monday! Ah deep breath here, the fresh smell of Monday, a new week, new challenges and maybe just maybe new adversity in the form of inconveniences.
Was it inconvenient that Dallas has a new offensive lineman that held on the last play of the game to prevent a game winning touchdown yesterday against the rival Washington Redskins.
You bet it was! (Yes, I a smiling, don't fret)
Was it inconvenient that the ground loosened the ball from the grip of Calvin Johnson in the last minute of play even after he caught the ball, too feet down, butt and hips and knees down, roll over with a firm grip of ball in right hand and left hand down in end zone. The official in end zone arms in air signaling touch down. Yeah! Lions win after 21 straight road losses and 38 of their last 41 games. Lions take the lead with less than 30 seconds.
But NO, he didn't hold onto the ball through the motion of the catch and fall. Sigh...Lions Lose.
So how does the Coach for the Lions handle the media....? Does he blame the officials?
Here is his quote:
''Hey, look,'' Lions coach Jim Schwartz said after reporters gave him four chances to rip the officials or the NFL rule book over the Johnson play, ''the time I stand up here and start blaming the officials for a loss is the time I don't need to be doing this anymore.
''We had chances to win the game. We had chances to put the game away. ... But to point at one play like that as the reason we won or lost ... it's not going to be us.''
We all have adversity in life.
We all have problems we wish would go away. Storms that stay to long and damage that we wonder how to fix. But life happens.
Two quotes I want you to think upon this day:
We have no right to ask when sorrow comes,
"Why did this happen to me?"
unless we ask
the same question
for every moment of happiness that comes our way.

Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as
free to delight in whatever remains to them?

Adversity it is what it is and I like to finish that with Until it Isn't
It is what it is -- until it isn't
and it isn't anymore when we decide.
Problems BE Gone!
Worries NO More!
Joy replaces sorrow
Smiles replaces frown
All that is left is more us to move on.
Smiles sent to you all this Monday!
