So yesterday we all looked at our world nine years later after it was changed forever.
Make no mistake if you read the web, listen to the music and news you find that our world was changed that day forever.
A comment from a mother of one of the victims from a recent interview:
"Everyday is 9 11 for me,
everyday I think of her and miss her."
How hard it must be for us to understand loss until loss has entered our world. Perhaps the only way to handle this pain with grace is to celebrate the lost ones life not their death and what we miss.
The legacy they have left not the pages left unwritten.
Yesterday Janice and my daughter Tori decorated for Halloween. Now I know its only September but is it not a way to enjoy the season instead of just rush on through it.
The lights on the ficus tree glow orange, the candles in the ceramic holders send out not only light but joy and warmth. The wreath on the door, the lights on the porch welcome us each day as we walk into our home. The carved pumpkin is soon to come and the smile from that or the grin will share a smile. No if we can only find that candy that won't add inches but melt away those pounds. Hmm....
Soon the first kickoff will be underway and the first Sunday in the NFL will be underway.
No predictions here, no odds to share or points to talk about. Just enjoying the game from start to finish. Ok just a little prediction Cowboys win! Just saying.....
