Sunday Prayer and Sunday Thoughts ~08/22/10

Happy Sunday everyone and welcome to the end of the week, I know on the calendar the first day is Sunday but I like to think that this day is the last rest day to re-energize for the new week ahead. But no matter, first day or last day it means little difference.

Sunday a day to worship and give thanks.

Sunday a day to gather and fellowship with family and friends.

Sunday a day to plan and prosper for the week ahead.

At the end of this post please take time to share any and all prayer requests.

Yesterday I have to say one of our Gather friends touched my spirit enough to include a link to her post from yesterday. A request for encouragement and fellowship from you the reader.
Please click on it and if you get the chance drop a little note or just a smile to Sadie.

Sadie's Post from the 21st of August.

That is my Sunday Prayer that you will stroll on by with your fingers on the keyboard. My prayer is that we all take some time to enjoy life, enjoy laughter and enjoy the simple act of a smile.

My Sunday Thoughts take me back to the ABC's of a SMILE.

Today we start with the letter T

T - Timely

The edge of each step in a smile or a kind word is sharp. To many times we use words or actions too late. To many times we ignore what stares in the face of reality but don't listen or see what we need to. We are so in a hurry to get no where. We text, we facebook, talk on the cell phone like we may not have time later to do so. But do we really listen when someone is in need?

A poem:

"A careless word may kindle strife;

a cruel word may wreck a life.

A bitter word may hate instill;

a brutal word may smite and kill.

A gracious word may smooth the way;

a joyous word may light the day.

A timely word may lessen strife;

a loving word may heal and bless.

Timely Smiles and Words and Deeds will go a long way to healing a hurting soul.

U - Universal

As in Law of Attraction. My friend,

Otha Alexander can also be found here on Gather. He

has a great resource listing on the Law of Attraction and as he describes it Universal Law of Attraction.

Thoughts do indeed become things and the smile is a universal action from the sense of joy and happiness. Share one today and learn that from every action comes reaction.

V - Vibrant

Take a look at the definition of the word vibrant.

adjective

Pulsing with energy or activity

He has a personality.

Lively and vigorous

Vibrating, resonant or resounding

(context, of a colour) bright

source: Allwords.com

To be vibrant, to pulsate with energy and to live a vigorous life. Filled with smiles and happiness. How much would one give for that kind of life and energy. It can be yours, just reach out and grab that kind of life.

W - Winner's Attitude

To have a winner's attitude, notice I did not say whiner's attitude.

There is a big difference and don't we all know it.

To have that winner's can do will do instead of that I will try.

A quote that I have share with you before fits in here nicely:

"Do, or do not. There is no 'try.'"

~Yoda (Star Wars)

Live the life of Do

Live with passion that only a winner's attitude can give.

A smile flows easily from someone who is winning.

A frown hangs low on anyone who allows it to show.

How you choose is up to you, never let anyone make your life blue.

Live with joy and let the day end with a smile.

X - X marks the spot

What do you really say about X and the smile. So here are my thoughts. : X = a big kiss, X = 10 ( we are all 10's) X of the Kiss and hug fame, XOXOXOXO.

My original thought was the explanation that the x marks the line in the sand of your life, when know more will you go another day not smiling, being happy, laughing out loud, living with gratitude in our heart. If you can make that X today on your calendar with a smiley and say no more. Today I want to smile and your thoughts will become things, and you will smile.

What do you have to lose. : )

Y - Yes

Yes to the smile, Yes to knowing that you and this day, today and the next 86,400 seconds are important enough to start living.

Yes to the smile. Yes to love. Yes to the possibilities in your life.

I thank you God for this most amazing day, for the leaping greenly spirits of trees, and for the blue dream of sky and for everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.

~E. E. Cummings

Z - Zero Tolerance

What is zero tolerance in relation to the smile. First to define what zero tolerance means:

The policy of applying laws or penalties to even minor infringements of a code in order to reinforce its overall importance and enhance deterrence.

Source: Encylopedia.com

We all need to have a zero tolerance policy for ourselves and our family regarding how we live our life. Is it with gratitude or do we just want more without giving back? Is it built on the foundation of love or hate? Acceptance or rejection? A smile in our heart and on our face or a scowl that just spews hate.

It really is our choice to patrol what happens with ourselves and those around us.

What do we tolerate? What do we stand for? If in fact you love to feel good, if you want to make others feel good then to adopt a zero tolerance policy that you can police is a real and justified answer for your life. For you family and those you care about take a stand, share a smile and a laugh or two. Make a difference and make a difference today.

That's it A through Z about the simple power of the smile. Next stop... Come back on Monday but first enjoy today with a smile!

Your comments and prayer requests please post below, share and care and allow your day to be the best it can be!

Some thoughts on sharing a smile, your smile with so many who come within your circle of influence.

Till next time....share a smile, make a dream come true and make someone's else a bit happier.
