Flowing into Friday ~06/25/10

Happy Friday to you all!  Flowing into Friday that river of anticipation for the weekend to start and the rest and relaxation that comes with it.  The first weekend of summer how great is that?  I hope you enjoy time with family and make this weekend special for all.





This week I have shared thoughts and idea's on the cause and effect of intention in ones life as it effects ones goals and progress.


I also have written about the word sabotage and its ability to hold back our progress towards what we say we want and what we constantly give ourselves and those around us.


Today is about the first step to fixing it.  There are many whys that this happens but fixing it and the how is much about what today is about.


If intention comes about by understanding values and goals and having a plan, then stopping self sabotage is understanding our progress towards that goal and listening to our self talk and beliefs about ourself.  Self talk can be audible or silent in side of our head.  It can destroy our best of intentions.


To understand we must first learn to be still and quiet even in the most task driven situations.  We must learn to ask ourselves questions of howand whatinstead of questions like why.


Questions like whydoes this always happen to me have no real purpose and power to fix.


Questions are better served when we ask howcan I make this better? Or whatcan I do right now that will help to improve this?


Self talk can also deflate our desire to even ask questions of course.  How we talk to ourselves internally and externally can shape the very direction of our intention and success.


When you place your feet on the floor in the morning to you greet the day with inspiration and joy?


That cup of coffee is that your fuel to get moving or is it just a extra push to enhance?


The first look in the mirror do you take that extra time to compliment that reflection and let yourself know how great this day will be, or do you barely make eye contact and drag yourself to the next station?


What we do and how we do it is driven by how we feel about ourselves.  Our focus should always start with the positive attitude and the gratitude that we have the tools to get the job done.


It is much easier of course to flow into Friday than flowing into a Monday but is it really?


Monday is just another day, 86,400 seconds just like the next person.


86,400 seconds to make your intentions a reality...... Enjoy your day and the weekend.
