Happy Thursday everyone and I hope you have been having a great week. So how was your Cinco de Mayo? Many revelers enjoyed the night I am sure, and the famous Margarita was flowing. If you didn't get to have one thought I would pass a link on that should give you a quick and easy recipe for yourself to try later.
Don't forget Mother's Day is this Sunday, a very special day indeed for that special mom in your life.
Being a mother has to be so rewarding but also at times a stressful job.
Rewarding yet at times demanding.
Mothers day is that one day where we should make sure that our mom is pampered and rested and renewed and not a pot or pan to use or wash. So this Sunday don't forget to take care of Mom the lady who took care of you all these years.
A quote that fits for this Thursday May, 6th:
My mom is a never-ending song in my heart of comfort, happiness, and being.
I may sometimes forget the words but I always remember the tune.
~Graycie Harmon
Never forget that tune, it will comfort your soul your whole life.
So many days in the year it hardly feels fitting that MOM should only get one day. Maybe a Mother's day week or month would be better, more appropriate for all the effort a mom puts into the life of the family.
The word family has under gone much change and been stretched and pulled so much since the days of our childhood. Many families are broken, or working multiple jobs. The computer age has diverted the attention of our children with the Playstation, DS, Xbox and the like. The computer has taken away the time spent together. The family, that very phrase needs to be placed on the forefront of our mind and time needs to be made for each other if we are going to develop that close knit bond that families of the past so enjoyed.
The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together.
~Erma Bombeck
You bet it could.......
