Flowing into Friday ~05/07/10

As we flow into another Friday and into the weekend I hope you enjoy the time with your Mom. I wrote yesterday the statement that Mom should get more than one day for doing all she does. We truly should have Mom month or at the very least a whole week for Mom. Mothers do so much for us and they truly shape and mold our future.

There are those out there that have lost their Mom's to illness or they have crossed over. To you who hold in your heart all of the memories, the times spent and long for that mother's hug just know this she lives. She lives in every breath you take, in the way you raise your children and in the way you support your family. She lives all around you with every action you take, the values you have been given have flowed from her gentle guidance and love.

The torch has now been passed to you, to raise your family with love, kindness and to fill your home with laughter and joy. The role you play in the home has so much gravity in the family dynamics. More than we can realize in the current moment. But understand the gravity that has held you and helped you to where you are right now. The father and mother role in any family is important but the role of the Mom is the glue and the special seasoning that gives the family memories and shapes the future of those raised and shaped.

If your a Mom you are indeed the magic in your families life. In your child's life you are amazing. Yes there are times when you feel unappreciated when your teen child has so much more on their plate and you seem to be at the side. But Mom, know this as you send your love, watch and participate in your child's life and give that gentle touch of care that goes with out much fan fare. They know, your teenager as they grow to young men and women can with a flash feel and know that all that your love was never gone but simmered in the spirit of their growth.

The graduation from college that starts their career.

The wedding that sends them into their own family.

The new born that gives you a grandchild.

The family holiday at your house.

The twinkle in your son and daughters eye.

They are your rewards but for the moment enjoy your day this Sunday and enjoy friday.
