Giving Thanks on Tuesday ~03/02/10

Happy Tuesday everyone and I hope your had a great March 1st.

As we continue our march into March this is todays mantra:

Spring 17 days to go-

March 2 is the day and spring is getting closer on its way.

Spring 17 days the spring air soon to follow-

Even if the snow does fall we know-

Our flowers and plants will soon grow.

In a way March feeds our soul, we get that much more excited that warmer times are soon ahead. So much to look forward that spring shower, the growing seedlings. Excitement is growing and soon so will our gardens.

The rest of my gratitude comes in the form of a story. A true story of a lady who showed up at my work and passed along 2 little lunch bags randomly to 2 different employees. This story comes with pictures this story ends with smiles and a wow.

May you be inspired to pass along such a random act of kindness.

This is the bag just normal so simple.

She gave it without much explanation---->

This is the label a message so kind.

it read: A Rare Jewel...A Friend

A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

Friends are a very rare jewel indeed;

they make you smile and encourage you to succeed,

they lend an ear and share a word of praise,

they always open their hearts to us. ----->

Inside this little bag, a zip lock bag the size so small,

the message within and a toothpick, thats all.

The message it read: Friend Survival Kit at the top

The rest #1 Toothpick ----To remind you to pick out the good

qualities in others.

Matthew 7:1 (click for verse)

The next bag still simple and small with a single band aid not much thats all.

It read: Band-Aid -- To remind you to hear hurt feelings; yours or someone else's

Colossians 3:12-14 ----------->

(click for verse)

The next bag yes simple and small with a pencil so tiny the kind you get at putt putt golf course to keep score.

Inside a note that read: #4 Pencil --- To remind you to list your blessings everyday.

Ephesians 1:3 (click for verse)

So simple this message a friend survival kit.

So strong the impact but yet there was more.

The next little zip lock still tiny you know a little blue eraser that would fit at the top.

The message inside read: #5 Eraser ---- To remind you that everyone makes mistakes

and it's OK. Genesis 50: 15-21 (click for verse)

How true this did read -------------->

The next little zip lock still tiny and yet the message grew stronger as each message was read. The bag it had a single stick of chewing gum the message it read:

#6 Chewing - gum --- To remind you to stick with it and you can accomplish anything.

Philippians 4: 13 (click for verse)

The next little zip lock in this little white bag it had within it a little red mint and the message it read: #7 Mint--To remind you that you are worth a mint.

John 3 16: 17 (click for verse)

Yes still another little zip lock how fun this was to venture through.

The little zip lock had inside a message and a small bite size snicker bar.

The message it read: #8 Snicker ---- To remind you to take time to laugh.

Proverbs 17:22 (click for verse)

The last little zip lock what treasures they have held, just a little paper message and a gift to remind. This last bag had a tea bag inside, the message it read:

#9 Tea-Bag ----- To remind you to relax daily and go over that list of blessings.

1 Thessalonians 5:15:18 (click for verse)

Can you imagine the smile put upon a strangers face. Just a random bag with messages to last quite a few days. Quite a few days indeed.

Imagine the impact this little women had.

To prepare this simple, low cost and so impacting the messages within.
