What is your Yellow Paint?

How we all strive to find happiness.  We do some have more than one thing that drives them to that state.  Some have the knowledge that happiness starts from with in....

This is the case for Van Gogh the famous painter that struggled in his 37 years of his life with this very hunger.  So much to learn from this man and how we admire his work only after he is gone.

Found this on Tumblr and decided to post it here:

Vincent Van Gogh used to eat yellow paint because he thought it would get the happiness inside him. Many people thought he was mad and stupid for doing so because the paint was toxic, never mind that it was obvious that eating paint couldn’t possibly have any direct correlation to one’s happiness, but I never saw that.

If you were so unhappy that even the maddest ideas could possibly work, like painting the walls of your internal organs yellow, then you are going to do it.

It’s really no different than falling in love or taking drugs. There is a greater risk of getting your heart broken or overdosing, but people still do it everyday because there was always that chance it could make things better.

 Everyone has their yellow paint.

How sad but true some lean on food, drugs, relationships, work, and the list goes on and on.  Just to find happiness.

Start with love, add a daily dosage of gratitude and self reflection.

Watch your words carefully especially the one you use at yourself in the mirror and in your head.  To your loved ones and to the ones you don't love so much.

Watch what goes in your heart, your spirit and effects your thoughts.

Love, dream big, and remember failure is not the end it is only an education.

As always strive to be happy from within and stay away from the yellow paint, of any kind.

Smiles and good thoughts sent your way : )
