A very happy Wednesday to you all! A great day to be alive and a wonderful day to share with those you care about and love.
Election day is over, yeah!! No more election ads to push the dvr button through. No more ads of hate or slander. No more promises that will not be kept anyway. Just the same old washington that will bog down a bill or pass legislation that means nothing for our future or our children's future.
Not being pessimistic here, just looking at Congress that has got us here. A reality show that we live day in and day out, congress in session.
So my wish on this Wednesday, November 3, 2010 a little political today but here goes anyway.
An election season that has advertisements built on substance not slander or mockery of the American people's intelligence.
A government run like a business that looks at fiscal responsibility and has complete transparency that 'we the people' can see and understand'. We should be the board of directors that can hire and fire at will. We should be able to formulate questions and have them answered so that we can live with power and knowledge instead of lack and ignorance.
Elected officials that work together and look out for the common good of the Americans that put them in office.
Special interest groups that send letters with out gifts and cash that look out for their interest but don't use the millions of dollars to buy votes or gifts for the politician of the month.
I wish for these things, I think America should be run like Microsoft and Apple and look at profitability not empty promises.
Just some thoughts this post election day 2010. I know you have yours if you want share you know the process....just hit comment and always dream for a better way of doing politics and building the American dream.
A dream of employment created for all.
A dream of the end of homelessness.
A dream of billion dollar debt not trillion dollar debt.
A dream of every child in America getting a solid education that really leaves no child behind.
A dream of classrooms with technology instead of three inch text books that hardly get used anyway.
A dream, a wish now how do we make this happen?
With idleness or with demand?
With a complaint or commitment?
With a broken system or steps to building a new one?
With a groan and a mumble or a strong voice that says not anymore?
We elected you Mr/Ms Congress official now do something and tell us what you did to make this country stronger. Tell us when jobs will return and debt will be under control.
Tell us won't you..... We pushed the button and voted for you now be transparent enough to show us what your doing to earn that vote.
Just a wish and a thought this Wednesday.
May your smiles abound.
May your joy lift another spirit.
May you stay hungry and stay foolish!
May your heart be warmed because it always was.
