A Wish on Wednesday 10/13/10

Welcome to Wednesday everyone, a day to rejoice, a day to give thanks and a feel good day that just touches the soul. As I write this 9 mines in Chile have been freed after being trapped underground for 69 days. How proud it feels to watch the joy and the happiness to see these miners one by one come to the surface.

Freedom

A word that we take for granted. A word that we cherish as Americans but only because most of us have know nothing else.

We don't have to worry about being bound by tyranny and lawlessness.

Freedom from the pain that these miner's and their families have felt for over 69 days.

Now they can feel the freedom that this rescue gives them once again. One by one they rise to the surface and as of this writing only 24 of the 33 remain underground. How the families have yearned for them. Longed to wrap their arms around their husbands, fathers, sons, and brothers. Freedom at last.

So my wish for today is easy and simple to understand.

That we cherish and rejoice our loved ones who every day share our world, free of fear, captivity and danger.

That we share our gratitude and rejoice that we are free, we are loved and we have choices that many do not.

That we rejoice as the 33 miners in Chile rise to the surface, so deep underground but no stone, no depth could remove the love and the hope that they would be free once more.

Enjoy your day and rise from any sadness or anguish.
