Sunday Prayer and Sunday Thoughts ~09/19/10

Happy Sunday to you! Another awesome day for an awesome life!

That's yours and mine of course. It's a matter of choice to live that awesome life. We choose and decide what we let in to effect our mood, our mind and all that matters, we choose, so choose wisely.

This day is a day is your day, my day and

a day for our loved ones!

This day is a day for family, friends and faith of course football!

Go Cowboys!

Within that collection of family, friends and faith the word that stands out most to me is the word faith, and so it should to us all.

Faith in our creator, faith in ourselves, faith in those we care about.

To define the word faith lets go to our online dictionary, dictionary.com. It defines faith as:

–noun

1. confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability.

2. belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the announcement hypothesis would be substantiated by fact.

3. belief in god or in the doctrines or teachings of religion: the firm faith of the Pilgrims.

4. belief in anything, as a code of ethics, standards of merit, etc.: to be of the same faith with someone concerning honesty.

5. a system of religious belief: the Christian faith; the Jewish faith.

6. the obligation of loyalty or fidelity to a person, promise, engagement, etc.: Failure to appear would be breaking faith.

7. the observance of this obligation; fidelity to one's promise, oath, allegiance,etc.: He was the only one who proved his faith during our recent troubles.

8. Christian Theology. the trust in God and in His promises as made through Christ and the Scriptures by which humans are justified or saved.

To run with this do you have faith in yourself? Do your standards for your life run deep into your spirit. What standards do you have for yourself?

We all have challenges in life, the fiber of our family is tested daily with outside influences that seem to try and derail the family. But the key word is try.

We are the gatekeeper of our family, the person who allows only those factors into our safe haven that will do good.

Teach the power of prayer to your children and the power of silent thought or meditation.

Teach the power of gratitude and appreciation and the simple act of allowing what we have right this moment to be enough.

Teach the power of insight and the ability to understand.

A quote on insight by G.K. Chesterton :

One sees great things from the valley,

only small things from the peak.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also sharing this quote by Rainer Maria Rilke:
Perhaps all the dragons in our lives are princesses
who are only waiting to see us act, just once,
with beauty and courage.
Perhaps everything that frightens us is,
in its deepest essence, something helpless
that wants our love.
Some thoughts today to think upon, I wish you well this Sunday.
My prayers, they are many but I pray for family, for love that it transcends our understanding, that love climbs the hills that we set for it in our life and that it finds warmth within your heart and spirit. I pray that each day we take time to look into another's eyes and see the beauty, the shaken faith that may exist and that we make a difference with a smile, a kind word, a simple act of kindness.
My smiles sent out to you this Sunday in September.
Enjoy your day!
Some thoughts on sharing a smile, your smile with so many who come within your circle of influence.
Till next time....share a smile, make a dream come true and make someone's else a bit happier.
