Happy Thursday everyone, almost to the end of the week for some the weekend means everything to them. Time off with family, time away from work and sometimes the ability just to worship with like minded people. Many different reasons but almost everyone enjoys getting there and yes, we are almost there.
On a local note, yes the Pittsburgh Penguins lost last night in their bid to repeat as NHL's Stanley Cup Champions. Sometimes it happens you win some, lose some and if your lucky you get to play another day.
Life is like that, you win some, lose some but you almost always get to try again.
A quote first on trying again:
“If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Then quit.
There's no point in being a damn fool about it.”
~ W. C. Fields
I laughed as I read that quote this morning what did he mean by that, how does that apply to life and moving on. Then I found this quote:
“I opened-up a yogurt, underneath the lid it said, "Please try again." because they were having a contest that I was unaware of. I thought maybe I opened the yogurt wrong. ...Or maybe Yoplait was trying to inspire me...
"Come on Mitchell, don't give up!"
An inspirational message from your friends at Yoplait,
fruit on the bottom, hope on top.”
~ Mitch Hedberg
Then I understood a bit more. Life is not always crystal clear, but faith and love are.
Faith in yourself, love of everything. So many times in life we fall, from our young days at taking our first steps to that first pedal of a bike to that tumble on that sheet of ice just outside our door. Life happens. But it is how we react to the 'life happens' that matters most. Do we open the next door and walk on through with excitement? If you don't why not? What does the past, your past have anything to do with future success. Let me put this in one word here.
Nothing!
The past can give you road maps to where you have been of course. History is important to understand so we don't repeat. But in all reality the past does not make future endeavors fail or fall. We make them run, our idea's our dreams.
*We* are the music makers... and *we* are the dreamers of dreams.
~from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Movie
So if you fall or stumble, get back up, quickly with out much thought on why or how the fall happened. Life happens and we all have 86,400 seconds to make good each day.
The attitude of gratitude.
The smiles that shares with others for miles.
The thought that we all can make a difference in life and doing just that,
making a difference for another.
Make your music today and dream your dreams that you want to get to tomorrow.
Today your seeds that you sow towards that dream will become the harvest that you reap.
Today your smile can and will change a heart, even for a short moment.
Today you first step in a new direction will have faith and love within in that step.
Faith in yourself and love of everything.
Till next time....share that smile and
walk towards that dream.
