Some Thoughts on a Sunday ~ 04/04/10

Happy Sunday and Happy Easter everyone! A day of great joy, a day of great praise and a day to share with family and friends our thanks that Jesus is ALIVE and sitting at the right hand of God in heaven.

Ephesians 2 v 4-10 states it so purely:

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

How simple and true this meaning that we are saved not by works but by the workmanship of God and his grace. We are saved by grace and faith. What a gift.

Not the chocolate bunny, Not the 100's of flavors of jelly beans, not the colored easter eggs.

But we are saved through faith that Jesus is Alive and our belief and faith and trust in him.

Easter is today of course but tomorrow is everlasting opportunity for us all to stand anew.

A quote for thinking about today:

"The resurrection gives my life meaning and direction and the opportunity to start over no matter what my circumstances."

-- Robert Flatt

~~~~~~~~
"The great gift of Easter is hope - Christian hope which makes us have that confidence in God, in his ultimate triumph, and in his goodness and love, which nothing can shake."
-- Basil C. Hume
So today stand anew, understand that today should give us all that unshakeable faith to not only be thankful for God's Gift of Grace and Life, but that we all can rise above any of our ashes.
Rise above any sadness.
Rise above any and all past misfortunes.
Today is a new day, that all of us can and should focus on what we can bring anew in our lives.
God is alive and well and through him so are we.
Enjoy the day and tomorrow we will look at why some have turned away from the heart and how we one person at a time may right the wrongs.
Till next time.......Share that smile, share the joy and rise anew and fresh!
