Flowing into Friday ~04/23/10

Happy Friday everyone and welcome to Friday I hope this day is a great one for you. Friday the day where the work week ends for most and the weekend plans are finalized.

Some times the best plans are no plans just allowing the time to happen as long as it is spent with those that you love and those who love you.

Today as you go through the day take the time to enjoy each moment, savor the anticipation of the time this weekend brings to reenergize and regroup that often we don't think to take the time to do through the week.

“The human individual lives usually far within his limits; he possesses powers of various sorts which he habitually fails to use. He energizes below his maximum, and he behaves below his optimum. . . . it is only an inveterate habit -- the habit of inferiority to our full self.” William James quote

How often we rush through the week, we are pushed and pulled, handle tasks, drive here and go there. We often feel overwhelmed at times with the demands put upon us. Simply put:

Life Happens

However to understand the quote by William James that I posted above we have to also reenergize ourselves on demand as well. Take the time to pray each day. Take the time to give thanks for what we have and be grateful that we have the wisdom to acknowledge it.

Your ability to be taken from 0 to 100 through the week is often acknowledged and necessary by the demands placed upon you. But the ability to slow down, downshifting through your gears, slowly, peacefully with grace and love is maybe more important.

Relax and allow life to happen a little slower

If life happens at such a frenzied pace then we also need to take the time to get back to ourselves from time to time. Take a long walk down the path of mellowness. Take time to smell the flowers and fresh morning dew along the way. Listen to the morning birds and feel the ground under your feet. Touch nature, touch the fresh air with your face. Enjoy life, enjoy the gifts that God has placed before our feet.

Don't ever neglect the power of nature to recharge.

Take time to enjoy life, take time to share love, take time to power down and enjoy spending energy on you.

We need quiet time to examine our lives openly and honestly. . . spending quiet time alone gives your mind an opportunity to renew itself and create order.

~Susan L Taylor

Take time to renew you today.

Till next time.....Smile and enjoy your Friday Flow
