Happy Friday everyone and welcome to the warming effect that we are enjoying. We may even hit 50 degrees on Monday. How great would that be.
As with any other day lately here is our spring mantra:
Spring, just 2 weeks away, yes 14 days we miss you like a long lost friend.
We miss the green grass in our yard-
The white landscape has grown old this winter.
We miss and welcome this day in March.
Not that we won't have another snowfall,
but that you, spring and all that your bring is almost here.
Two weeks till spring.
I hope all is well in your world. I hope you find joy, peace and that beautiful smile.
Its there you know under those lips, within that heart and in those eyes. A smile that will warm your heart, heal the soul and help another find their own.
A smile, simple, powerful and plentiful. We just need to tap in, join in and realize that we are the music makers within our soul.
I listened to a DVR recording of Oprah this morning. The one from March 2nd. The one that showed Roger Ebert, the great film critic that through it all, cancer, numerous operations and shows his new voice using the latest technology. The show was amazing but the quote from his journal as I typed it below is even more amazing and heartfelt.
Roger wrote in his journal as read by his wife Chaz:
"I believe that if at the end of it all according to our abilities we have done something to make others a little happier and something to make ourselves a little happier that is about the best we can do. To make others less happy is a crime, to make ourselves unhappy is where all crimes start. We must try to contribute joy to the world. That is true. No matter what our problems, our health, our circumstances we must try. I didn't always know this and I am happy that I lived long enough to find this out."
How powerful, how true, thank you Roger and Chaz for sharing that. Awesome and so real.
I often share with you my feelings and thoughts about the power of the smile, the shared smile but to hear it from such a view point that only Roger and all his circumstances can bring delivers this message so much stronger than I ever could.
To smile, to share, to spread joy and to teach the power of gratitude.
We all have the power to learn and do and teach just that.
Till next time......Smile and share another with someone close to you.
