So the easy part of the week is here! Thursday one more day closer to the weekend.
Trying a new flavor of coffee this morning. Island Coconut not a bad flavor. Oh by the way I am not paid in any way to promote this flavor. You may have read the FTC is about to install new guidelines for bloggers that represent a product and may get paid for it. They have full disclosure. I want to work in that department who help to enforce that. Sounds like a cool job!
Where do I sign up!
Enough that is as close to politics as I want to get.
So what are your products that you endorse? Lets keep them busy! Just kidding!
Giving Thanks! We do this every fourth Thursday in November. We prepare food, watch football and say grace and give thanks for all the great things in our lives.
We should do this more often. I know that I give two days to this topic and today I want to go into a little more depth about giving thanks!
A quote first to think about here:
“God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say “thank you?”"
William Arthur Ward

Yes we all have the same number of seconds in each day. We fill them of course with sleep, eating, preparation for work and work itself. Then we eat more, watch a little television, and on and on the seconds pass. But do we take the time to say 'Thank you'? Not just to God in our prayers but to each other. To our kids for the smiles they have given and the joy yet to come. Yes they will bring many emotions, but we brought many different emotions to our parents, true?
Giving thanks to each other is perhaps the most sincere form of gratitude we often miss. We all are always in such a hurry. Running here and there, texting, talking on the phone, so many important duties to deliver.
Without a doubt we should have a leave a cell phone at home day. A day where we all could just focus on driving. Focus on our kids a little more. Focus on our neighbors hard work in their yard.
What do you think? Yeah it would be hard no doubt, but to give the attention to each other that we used to give.
Hey I like Facebook, and Gather and all the great ways we have found to stay in touch. But we are starting to lose the simple act of face to face interactions of saying 'thank you' or you look great today, or nice job!
Give thanks to someone today! Take the time to notice a job well done. Take the time to notice something different that they have done! The simple words of 'thank you' will bring a smile and perhaps spark a real conversation. Not a bad thing at all!
So I give thanks to you the reader and the comments you leave here! Thank you!
I give thanks to my girlfriend who always does a great job watching over me and my daughter! Thank you as well!
I give thanks to the driver in that car who lets me in when I am trying to merge. Yeah you, the polite act of going into the other lane so that another can merge onto a highway. Thanks! O K that was a shot cause hardly anyone ever lets someone merge anymore. What happened to that simple act of kindness! Have a great day everyone!
Till next time.......Smile and let
someone merge on your local highway today!
