Giving Thanks on Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! A day which I hope all take time to share with yourself what your grateful for in your life.

Gratitude is one of the keys to happiness. If you can be thankful for things in your life, and be thankful for things yet to come what a great way to start a morning!

A quote from Cicero:

Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues,

but the parent of all the others.

Also a very mindful thought by JOHANNES A. GAERTNER:

To speak gratitude is courteous and pleasant, to enact gratitude is generous and noble, but to live gratitude is to touch Heaven.

A smile with out much doubt has a strong social meaning of happiness. When shared it is contagious and enlightening to all that receive it. If not at that very moment it can set the tone for a pleasant moment just as a hurtful or angered word can trigger bad emotions.

A smile shared is perhaps the easiest gift of all. It can lighten someones load or change someones state even if for a second or two.

When you reach out and try to make a difference in another that is perhaps a most noble deed.

The purpose of life is not to be happy - but to matter, to be productive, to be useful, to have it make some difference that you have lived at all. ~Leo Rosten

So today, make a difference in someones day. Reach out with a smile, a kind word, or give thanks to them for being in your life.

Tackle the pensive moment in someones day with a smile. Watch the stress or sadness melt away, like butter on a hot english muffin. Savor the moment, and be thankful that you had the opportunity and took time to make a difference.

Is it always that easy to change someones state? No.

For some it may take more, lend an ear, show concern, openly offer a prayer.

However in the end your greatest accomplishment is not what you said, but that you took the time to say it.

Till next time..... Smile!
