A Month of Joy ~ Hope and Giving ~ Sensory Exploration and Retention

Giving and receiving is often the major theme at the holidays.  We ponder will they like the gift we gave, we anticipate the tearing of wrapping paper, the retrieval of waste.  The food how it will taste the presentation of the plate.  But will we remember the senses of the season.  May this be a plentiful project for us all.

The sounds of the season and the sight too

A single candle some evergreen the smell so true

The sight and colors of holiday food

The taste and the smell creates the mood

May we all take the moment to remember the many

Who challenge the season and lack the plenty

Rise up and donate your smile and kindness

It may be the best gift for those often behind us

The tables will soon be set for the holiday meal

The images and sounds of the family is real

The glasses will be filled with wine and spirits

The eyes will behold all the colors so bright

All those twinkling lights

So take it all in and remember it all

for the memories will last for us all

May this day, the season be the best for you all

May the holiday cheer bring joy

May the gifts be secondary to the memories made

May Christmas be the best ever for your sensory parade

A parade of love, of joy, sights and sounds and smells.

A parade of laughter of prayer and thoughts for our mindful shelves

Take it and remember it for years to come

Cause it begins with the exploration and retention of it all.

Merry Christmas and enjoy the moments of  the holiday
