Getting Lost in a Picture 2020.08.29

Found in the Word

Another Segment of an in-depth thought on a picture that touched me.
Just a simple picture and some thoughts and comments.
Something to give some thoughts upon and perhaps reflect with.

Again I did not take this picture but wanted to share my find.

A weathered park bench

A bench waiting for use, a morning fog on a frosty day. A distant figure strolling perhaps they will use the bench perhaps just walk on past it and continue on their journey.  Maybe they used it already and are heading in another direction.

Still the bench sits.  Waiting to be utilized.

The trees standing leaves have fallen and perhaps the season is preparing for winter or maybe in the midst of winter.

I love the depth of this picture.  The view few would take a look from. Close up and looking at the weathered and worn boards that give support and purpose.

Never would we take this view, maybe we would just focus on the path not the bench and its close up detail of the structure.  But this artist did take this look.  They gave us much got ponder and to look upon.

Life is like this, we pass on by and look at the surrounding path, trees and walk on by so much.  Maybe we should take the time and focus more.

Maybe our pace is hurried, most often we rush to our next destination.  Maybe we walk with casual intention and meditate on the task at hand.

So much can be healed when we walk with purpose of reflection and meditative pause of our busy minds.

Take the time and make the time to heal your spirit.  Relax and Reflect.

Enjoy the many resources a simple park pathway can present to you.

Walk on or rest but most of all enjoy the moments in life given to you.

May your weekend have a stroll in it. May your weekend be reflective of a better way.

Enjoy and maybe if you find a lonely bench, take a moment and put it to use.
