Calling upon contentment 01/27/2014

“If men only felt about death as they do about sleep, all terrors would cease. . . Men sleep contentedly, assured that they will wake the following morning. They should feel the same about their lives.”
― Richard MathesonWhat Dreams May Come

A tendency among many is that we have that positive outlook and even the belief that we can and will reach our set outlook, however we keep changing or moving the bar and never seem content.

You can even have gratitude and still lack in the skill of being and feeling present in the now and lack feeling contentment.

Why? Better yet to fix this we don't need to know the why just the impact on the result of feeling content.

A quote:

Let us not be content to wait and see what will happen, but give us the determination to make the right things happen.

Horace Mann US educator, the first great American advocate of public education, 1796-1859

Wise words indeed.  Give yourself the determination to make the right things happen and don't look upon your short comings as failures but as an education to 'Getting it right' the next time.

Be content with yourself, your efforts and what you have.

Live in the now be present with your spirit and yourself.

Live with the understanding that we all have the same abilities to be happy. We just need to find that happiness in the little things that surround each one of us.

May your day, this day, and this moment be blessed and may your contentment be ever present.

Smiles to you
