Happy Sunday everyone, welcome to another great day, another opportunity to make a difference in someones life. But how you may ask? I know if your reading this your not asking the why question. So lets work on the how. But just in case.

Let me discuss the six basic human needs.
I have shared this before but here they are again in brief:
Certainty or stability
Uncertainty or variety
Significance the need to have meaning with others
Love and connection
Contribution
Growth
This list comes from some of Anthony Robbins teachings and Maslows early work on the Hierarchy of Human Needs.
Those are the basics and I have done some posts in more detail that I will share with you in the future. But for now lets get to the how we can make a difference with others knowing the 6 basic needs now.
The easiest way to make a difference is to share love, easy and simple, you can do it by briefly interacting with someone and letting them know that you care and they are loved. Loved by God and all the energy that surrounds them.
Sharing a smile, a kind word, a hug, a touch of the arm and giving that person a feeling that you sincerely acknowledge how significant they are to you and how they make you feel when they are around you. Still easy is it not?
Another way is to get them involved, in conversation, in sharing gratitude, praying with them letting them feel a part of something bigger and not just the current cycle they may feel stuck in. A little more effort on this one so long that it does not come across superficial but it will be well worth the effort when you see someones attitude shine and their burden lifted just by spending some time with them.
Teach them how to understand their feelings and how to pass it forward. Teach them how to make a difference in someones life.
To give a man a fish you feed him for a day but when you teach a man to fish you feed him for a lifetime.
You empower.
You create a future with promise.
You share.
The certainty and uncertainty come with moving and living.
The variety comes the more we interact with others.
But the love and growth and contribution and even significance comes from others.
Yes it comes from within as in self esteem but when we pass it on and pay it forward we not only help the person next door we help ourselves.
