Happy Thursday everyone welcome to a new day! This is a day off for me at my main job, as most of you know I am in sales. I have been selling those shiny cars and trucks since 1997 now. So if you ever find yourself in the market for a new or gently preowned car and truck and your near the Pittsburgh area, call me or email me. I specialize in Toyota/Scion but I have friends with other makes and models. The dealership I work at specializes in Value and prices the vehicles that we sell, not the customers who buy them.
We don't haggle, hassle and go back and forth, we offer a low price everyday, 24/7 on our web site, throw in a few perks and consult with our guests instead of being confrontational like most stores tend to be. I don't even get paid commission more on the number and quantity of units I sell which works for me.
Some have asked me how can you work where you really never know what your bringing home, in other words my effort and skill sort of dictates my pay. Sure it can fluctuate and go up and down based on traffic, and other factores but I always tend to feel more empowered knowing my effort dicates my results. Imagine working 40 hours a week and knowing exactly how much your brininging home and not being able to make any more unless you work overtime. That to me would be hard to get used to again.
I have others who have told me that they could never do sales.
My answer to that is we all are in sales, we sold our children on how they behave, learn and handle chores. We have sold our spouse on why we are the right pick for them. We sell and negotiate when we want that special something and need to convince those we care about that its the right thing to get at this moment.
We are all in sales, everyday!
We are selling ourselves with our self talk and beliefs that we bring to our table.
86,400 seconds in the day we are selling something.
Selling those dreams away when we are sleeping and if that dream is a good one, we are selling that as well. LOL
That is my Thursday Theory. We all in sales. So how does that apply to the simple, sincere smile. My belief is that the smile is a great tool in our tool box to acquire so many great things.
When we pull that smile out of our spirit we enlighten the one who recieves it. We get one back in almost every case, because they want to return the feeling of acknowledgement and attention that you just gave them. You sold and they bought.
When that smile is shared you are shining your best light forward, your saying and selling that life can be enjoyable and fun. That the focus need not be on the bad things that happen but maybe just maybe on what lesson we learned from that bad thing that occurred.
Bad things happen to good people, with out any question in life stuff both good and bad happens. But we tend to come out the winner when we stand strong in adversity and focus on the education we just got not the struggle that we have to overcome.
A quote from Napoleon Hill:
The strongest oak tree of the forest is not the one that is
protected from the storm and hidden from the sun.
It's the one that stands in the open where it is compelled to
struggle for its existence against the winds
and rains and the scorching sun.
Don't hide in anguish, despair and bitterness. Do not let another put you down, or pick away at your spirit.
It truly is none of your business what others think of you
Let the strongest wind and the hardest rain shape you, transform you into a better more educated spirit. One that can say with confindence, this storm shall too pass.
Life is like that, storms come and go but we stand strong.
Smile during a storm. Look that event in its eye and know that it too shall pass, they always do. They always will.
Good luck selling today.
Good luck sharing that smile, making that difference.
Smiles and love sent your way, today and everyday!

My Thursday Theory
Enjoy your day and may it be a day filled
with smiles and magic and love!
May your smiles abound.
May your joy lift another spirit.
May you stay hungry and stay foolish!
May your heart be warmed because it always was.
Smiles sent your way this day and always!
Happy Thursday everyone! : )
