Some Thoughts on a Sunday ~ 05/23/10

Happy Sunday to you and I hope you enjoy the day with the ones you love. Sunday is a great day for worship, prayer, meditation and yes even song. Spend a little time in each of these area's if you so choose. Take time to look at nature, be it in your back yard or a local park.

Today my daughter's choral concert is being held. She loves chorus, she enjoys the music of course and the friends within the chorus but she also gets a chance to choose to be a small part of something bigger.

A few moments in front of the local community sharing great music and lifting their voices to put smiles on peoples faces.

Yes their will be laughter. Yes plenty of applause but the one thing that will be shared is the many faces with smiles upon them.

You just can't help to choose to do that.

Life is all about what we choose, but sometimes we run on auto pilot. We smile because another smiled. We laugh because their is laughter all around. We even tend to feel sadness when we walk into that situation. Yes we have the ability to choose but sometimes emotion and joy just is contagious.

I found several quotes on choice today that I wanted to share. I hope you find some time to think about them.

“It is our choices that show what we truly are,

far more than our abilities.”

~ Joanne Kathleen Rowling

~~~~~~~~~~
“Meditation brings wisdom;
lack of mediation leaves ignorance.
Know well what leads you forward and what hold you back,
and choose the path that leads to wisdom.”
~Buddha
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves.

The process never ends until we die.

And the choices we make are ultimately

our own responsibility.”

~ Eleanor Roosevelt

So today choose wisely.

Pray a little and give thanks.

Meditate a little and think of what you can do.

Worship a little and come alive in the presence of our creator and is creations. Enjoy the nature as it comes alive today, and soak in the beauty that abounds all around.

Take time to sing a little and let your voice soar to its beauty.

And a last quote from Robert Fulghum:

“Be aware of wonder. Live a balanced life - learn some

and think some and draw and paint and sing

and dance and play and work every day some.”

So today enjoy it, and have a great prelude into the new week that lays ahead.

Till next time....share a smile, make a dream come true and make someone's else a bit happier.
