Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome to another day filled with gratitude. Gratitude for life, for another opportunity to make a difference in another persons life. How blessed we are to be able to make someone else smile to share a bit of joy. Take that chance with someone today.
Two quotes I want to share that I have always tried to live by on by:
Our prime purpose in this life is to help others.
And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.
~Dalai Lama
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by
a healthy child, a garden patch
or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed
easier because you have lived;
This is to have succeeded.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
A couple quotes worth getting to know.
So my last comment and question involves a terrible tragedy that has happened all to much.
The first story about the teenager in Missouri who hung herself because she was bullied online by get this an adult, a mother.
The other story more recent about a girl living here in Massachusetts who after months of constant bullying hung herself just to escape.
After you read these two stories you have to ponder on these three questions, if thats all that comes to your mind of course.
Question one: Why did this happen to two very young and promising lives?
Question two: How do we prevent this from happening again and say never again?
Question three: What are you doing to prevent this from happening in your circle of family and friends?
We need a little more gratitude taught in our homes. A little more tolerance and acceptance taught in our dining rooms and bedrooms.
We need a little more education in school about love and yes the removal of prayer in school has played into this demise of a young mind.
Prayer, love and acceptance.
Gratitude and joy.
Tolerance and unitity.
What if we started today?
Till next time.....Smile and share that
smile with another!
