Happy Friday everyone and welcome to Friday!! Yes here in Pittsburgh we received some serious snowfall. I am waiting and watching for something more than a 2 hour delay for my daughter's school. But as of 5:50 am as I type 2 hours delay remains. Sigh! She has gone back to bed so I will await the word.
Snow coating the landscape is such a beautiful thing at least here in the country rural setting that I have here. I have many pine and blue spruce in the yard and it makes a postcard picture look so well I guess the word could be majestic, or awesome.
I will try to post some Saturday.
My daughters school just closed for the day, I will let her sleep but she will be excited when she wakes up! Snow day and I am off as well how cool is that! Snow angels anyone?
If you do have to work today at the very least you can know it is Friday and the weekend is on the door step. Weekends are great full of fun with family and there are so many great memories that can be made. Make some for your family this weekend!
I wanted to write a little bit about the word focus. Focus is what we define as directing ones attention towards something. In the word of optics, to bring into focus to make more clear.
Combine both of these and often when we focus on what we really want, do we take the time to bring it into a clear perspective. Do we write it down with the reasons why we want to have a certain thing, whatever it may be. Do we really focus in a clear way how we are going to arrive at that destination.
In the world of transportation we often trust the planners and the drivers to get us there. We get on the plane or into the taxi and trust that when we do that pilot or taxi driver will focus on getting us to the right destination and at the right time. That they focus.
We are the pilots of our vessel, our body, our mind. We often look at our life and wonder why this is that way and not in some better fashion. Did we really focus on the outcome? Did we really focus and bring into the clear what our actions we are/were taking would produce as an outcome.
Like I mentioned yesterday the past does not equate your future, unless you want it to of course. But even then you may receive a different outcome. So many factors in our life can change the final outcome if we are just flowing down the river of life with little or no plans.
So what are your plans for this weekend?
What is your planned focus on? What do you want for your life today, tomorrow and this year?
A quote by Michael Leboeuf on the subject of focus:
“When you write down your ideas you automatically focus your full attention on them. Few if any of us can write one thought and think another at the same time. Thus a pencil and paper make excellent concentration tools.”
So the point here is focus on your planned destination that you want in life. Focus on what you want, and take the time to focus and plan your journey. Take the time to write down your focus, your plans, your goals and most importantly the why's and the reasons.
When you have a big enough why, you will find a big enough solution.
A video, a short one I hope you enjoy and take heart.
Have a wonderful Friday and enjoy your flow!
Till next time....share a smile and make someone smile along with you!
