Welcome to Monday everyone....Hope your day is a special one. Thanks for all the comments and based on them I think November has many reasons to be Smile month. I don't think there is a smile month so lets make for our purposes the month of the Smile!
Sound good to you?
My partner and love of my life of 7 years was nice of enough to get me Sushi which I am having now. She goes to the local Giant Eagle here and they pre make it. I love the spicy nature and the texture of the rice the crunch.... I also have my coffee and a banana so all in all not a bad breakfast.
It is light out here all ready which is nice since my daughter has to stand at the bus stop. It is nice to have some light when she is out there.
Today I wanted to share a story you may have already heard about. It was featured on a network news program that aired Thursday night. The story is about a six year old girl named Elena Desserich who was diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer. The girls parents were told she would live 135 days. They never told their daughter the severity of her cancer however the little girl must have know as the cancer took her ability to even talk towards the end. But that did not stop her from being able to write.
Elena wrote hundreds of notes, notes to say I love you to her mom and dad and sister grace. The parents started finding them and even till this day they find them. Stuck in CD cases, bookshelves, drawers, closets. Each parent both hold one each that is still sealed this way they still have one message that they have not read yet. Notes of love left behind, left to say everything is going to be OK.
The parents at first did not want to write a book about this however in the end they did proceeds go to The Cure Starts Now organization which is looking for a 'Home Run' cure for cancer.
The book titled 'Notes left behind' is available online just click on the highlighted link.
When I saw this story, I had to share it with you and pass along the power these notes left behind has had on the parents, the family and now the rest of the world. This little 6 year old made a difference in a big way. She left so much behind in such a short time here.
Love, smiles, joy, hope and more smiles! A life well lived would you not say?
So what will you leave behind, a journal, gratitude thoughts?
A beautiful garden, pictures taken or created?
If you have not started may today for Elena and her message of love should send a message to us all ......... The message of Love and it is gonna be OK!
Till next time.......Smile and start sending out your messages of hope and love!
